  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 75 mins

    Chelsea 2-1 Sheffield United

As blatant a yellow as you'll see. N'Golo Kante nicks the ball from Sander Berge who pulls him back by the shirt and then basically ragdolls him to the floor. A frustrated man.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 70 mins

    Chelsea 2-1 Sheffield United

Mateo Kovacic cannot carry on so here comes Jorginho. Looks like the Croatian tweaked something while clearing the ball.

    Chelsea 2-1 Sheffield United

He's been very impressive tonight, Mateo Kovacic, but he's now down in pain and getting some treatment. Just went down off the ball I think?

Sulaimon: I am envious of this Chelsea squad. They have quality, experience and good age balance. They will dominate the League and hopefully Europe.

I hope Lampard sticks with Kovacic over Jorginho for the next few games. Offensively and defensively the superior player.

    Matt in Exeter

  6. CLOSE!published at 67 mins

    Chelsea 2-1 Sheffield United

Chelsea still haven't put this one to bed - but that is close! Mateo Kovacic skids a shot about a yard wide from 22 yards. Surely a matter of time?

  7. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Chelsea 2-1 Sheffield United

Chelsea free-kick is thumped on goal by Reece James and Aaron Ramsdale fists it out rather than catches it.

  8. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Chelsea 2-1 Sheffield United

Maybe Rhian Brewster is off to make a call to the White House, his day is done anyway. He and Ollie Norwood are hooked and on go Oli McBurnie and Ben Osborn.

  9. Working a double shiftpublished at 18:52 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2020

    Everton 1-3 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Marcus Rashford helped Manchester United beat Everton earlier, but his work for the day isn't done quite yet...

A third goal would really rubber stamp the win for Chelsea you'd think. They look at least one class above the visitors tonight.

  11. CLOSE!published at 58 mins

    Chelsea 2-1 Sheffield United

Brilliant defending - twice! You can't complain about Sheffield United's commitment one bit.

John Egan makes a cracking block to deny Tammy Abraham, and then Enda Stevens does likewise seconds later.

A block tackle that locks up your ankle, and Stevens needs some treatment.

Jonathan Pearce calls Thiago Silva "an emperor of defending."

i must confess to being a bit confused by some of the punditry praising Silva this week. He's excellent, but we knew that didn't we? He's hardly come in from the Conference North.

Close! Good play from Hakim Ziyech who curls in a shot on target but John Lundstram gets a head on it.

  13. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Chelsea 2-1 Sheffield United

Sheffield United can't get on the ball, it's a thankless and tiring task in their midfield at the moment, chasing N'Golo Kante and co around. At 2-1 the game's not done though of course. Could just take one set-piece.

  14. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Chelsea 2-1 Sheffield United

I think that's the first time I've noticed Rhian Brewster in the game and he's clearing the ball form inside his own six-yard box. Tough gig up front for the Blades at the moment.

Andrew: Chelsea not so easy on the eye today. Back 3 with Azpi in and James and Ziyech putting crosses on Giroud's head would have been my call (Mount on bench)

Love Giroud a fine player and a lovely guy wish we started with him more often

Christopher Basham, that is magnificent sir.

Enda Stevens makes an error, heading a ball down into the run of Mateo Kovacic. The midfielder drives into the area and looks certain to add a third for Chelsea but Basham somehow puts in a challenge to divert it behind for a corner.

    Sensational.

Here they come again. United would 'only' be three points from safety if they lose today mind. Not all doom and gloom.
