    Sheffield United 0-0 West Ham

The ball just won't come down quickly enough for Haller as he is found in the box. Had he managed to smuggle it to his feet with a bit more speed, he would have had just Ramsdale to beat. The Blades keeper does well in the end, diving out to smother.

  3. 'Both managers will be content'published at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2020

    Sheffield United 0-0 West Ham

    Michael Brown
Former Sheff Utd and Spurs midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Both managers will have been quite content at half-time, so the advice will be to continue in the same way.

It's a question of who can most affect the game at the start of the second half.

  4. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Sheffield United 0-0 West Ham

David McGoldrick looks to make something happen early in the half with a low shot from 20 yards. It is sneaking inside the post but doesn't fool Fabianski.

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:00 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2020

    Sheffield United 0-0 West Ham

Forget that first half. This next 45 minutes is going to be better. Surely?

  7. 'Reaction came too late'published at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2020

    Fulham 2-3 Everton

    Fulham

Fulham boss Scott Parker, speaking to BBC Sport: "Improved in the second half but three goals down, I have stood here many times, you can't go on to score four goals to win games.

"A reaction? Yes for sure but it came too late. First half as always we played some nice stuff, showed what we were about but any second ball we came out second best. It is not the way it needs to be.

"There were errors of course, there needs to be an intensity about us. a football match is first and foremost is decided on putting an aggression, putting your stamp on things and after that you build your way into the game but we didn't do that.

"We gave a reaction in the second half but it shouldn't have to come from a telling off at half time, it should come from within.

"Fine margins in this game and I get the fine margins but what I can't accept from my team is that in the first half at times we were second best to 50-50 challenges. We got it out in the second half but it was too late.

"I don't think you could write it. Cav was the penalty taker, we worked on it this week. Like I said it after the last time, you can miss penalties and he slipped. It is one of them things.

"Some big positives as always but I want to win football matches, I want us to be successful and I feel for sure we can."

  8. 'We lost energy'published at 14:56 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2020

    Fulham 2-3 Everton

    Everton

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti, speaking to BBC Sport: "The most important part of the game was to be back to winning.

"We lost energy in the second half, the players were tired, I changed to put more fresh legs on the pitch but we lost a bit of quality and we had to defend as a result but in the end it went well.

"Alex Iwobi played well, like the others played really well. I am pleased for him. In that wing-back position eh can show his quality.

"We have to improve (defensively) for sure. We were not so compact and not so close to the line. We have time this week to work on this."

  9. 'On another day we might be punished'published at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2020

    Fulham 2-3 Everton

    Everton

Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin to BBC One: "Pleased, but I think the most important thing today was the three points.

"It sounds cliche but in the second half we didn't have much of the ball and on another day we might be punished for not playing well in the second half."

On the system Everton used: "First half was a representation of me benefitting from a new system and with lots of crosses coming into the box which I like.

"Second half was more about digging in and it was more of a lonely role for me, but we got the win."

Kayleigh Millen: Whilst I don't dispute his potential threat, Bowen would be so much better if he passed to his team-mates, in better positions, more often! I'm not even a West Ham fan but it's infuriating! Here's hoping for a goal-fest in the second half...

  12. 'Good half but no cutting edge'published at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2020

    Sheffield United 0-0 West Ham

    Michael Brown
Former Sheff Utd and Spurs midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Both teams have had chances to go ahead in this game. West Ham have edged the possession but Sheffield United started positively. Good first half, but no cutting edge.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 45 mins

    Sheffield United 0-0 West Ham

It has threatened to erupt into life, but at the moment it's on simmer.

  14. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Sheffield United 0-0 West Ham

West Ham's turn to threaten. Jarrod Bowen beats Ampadu with a neat turn in the box and has an unmarked Haller for company in the box. He opts to shoot and sees his effort blocked. Can't blame him. Haller might, though.

That earlier header from McGoldrick against the post wouldn't have counted. Just seen a replay and he was off as well as Berge.

  15. 'Much better'published at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2020

    Sheffield United 0-0 West Ham

    Michael Brown
Former Sheff Utd and Spurs midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

He rose very well, headed the ball towards the top corner. Fabianski was maybe a bit dramatic with his save but he made sure. Much better from Sheffield United.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 41 mins

    Sheffield United 0-0 West Ham

Close! The home side hit the post as McBurnie's header from the corner is then nodded against the upright by McGoldrick. Berge tries to get in there to follow up but as soon as he does the flag goes up against him.

  17. Postpublished at 40 mins

    Sheffield United 0-0 West Ham

A good header from McBurnie draws an equally good save from Fabianski. It comes from Baldock's right-wing cross and results in a corner.

  18. 'A good start to the game'published at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2020

    Sheffield United 0-0 West Ham

    Michael Brown
Former Sheff Utd and Spurs midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

There have been opportunities, Sheffield United had the early chances but West Ham have now had those couple of opportunities, although still only just that one shot on goal.

It has been a good start to the game but nobody has been clinical.

  19. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Sheffield United 0-0 West Ham

West Ham win another corner but unable to make anything from it as McBurnie is fouled in the box. The visitors just having a little spell on top at the moment.

  20. 'Wonderful opportunity'published at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 22 November 2020

    Sheffield United 0-0 West Ham

    Michael Brown
Former Sheff Utd and Spurs midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Basham got caught out and as the ball came over it was a great header from Haller. Somehow he chooses the near post and not the far post but a wonderful opportunity for West Ham.
