HUGE chance for Burnley to double their lead.

Charlie Taylor runs down the left and finds Jay Rodriguez. He picks out Dwight McNeil, who plays a first-time ball into the path of Johann Gudmundsson.

Gudmundsson is free but hits an early shot from the edge of the box which crashes off the crossbar.

The pitch looks beautiful - perfectly clean, so smooth without many, if any, divots. It's a huge improvement on what it used to be, I can tell you.

Patrick van Aanholt sneaks in behind Burnley's defence but James Tarkowski does well to clear before Michy Batshuayi can pounce.

Chris Boden: Good job I didn’t celebrate the goal with more colourful language, my 21-month-old has been running around shouting ‘yes’ and pumping his arms since Wood scored!

Crystal Palace need to change their formation. Having Michy Batshuayi and Jordan Ayew up top is not really benefiting them. Neither one of them wants to pin the defenders or run in behind. It's pointless having two players doing the same job.

Concerning for Palace. There's four defenders on the bench and Benteke too, which means the starters really need to get their game together. I'm a Palace fan and I love what Roy has done but the bench today really illustrates that he has no plan B. Four defenders on the bench!! Clearly set up to get a goal and then park the bus. Worrying.

Burnley have lost just one of their last 36 Premier League games when leading at half-time (W29 D6) and remain unbeaten since a 2-1 defeat by Bournemouth at Turf Moor in May 2018 (P17 W13 D4 since).

Burnley have approached that first half perfectly. They put Crystal Palace on the back foot, they were getting runners in behind the Palace full-backs and pinning the centre-halves. Scott Dann and Cheikhou Kouyate are not happy - they are walking off the pitch having been in a battle. Chris Wood and Jay Rodriguez have had a brilliant first half.

As things stand Burnley would move out of the relegation zone at Fulham's expense.

And Palace would drop to 10th, below Manchester United.
