I sometimes wonder if Fantasy Premier League is now more popular than the actual Premier League.

I made the decision to play Champions League fantasy football this season too just to shoehorn some midweek stress and frustration in between the weekend stresses and frustrations.

Burnley v Crystal Palace (17:30 GMT)

Crystal Palace have won four of their eight league games, as many as in their final 19 matches of last season.

They have scored at least three goals on two occasions this term, something they failed to do at all in 2019-20.

Prior to the weekend fixtures, Crystal Palace had led for a league-high 395 minutes this season.

Burnley v Crystal Palace (17:30 GMT)

Burnley's last goal was on 3 October, an Ashley Westwood effort in a 3-1 defeat at Newcastle.

Their two other Premier League goals this season were by Chris Wood and Jimmy Dunne as they lost 4-2 at Leicester.

They have not scored in their other five matches.

That makes them the lowest scorers in any of the top six tiers.

Burnley v Crystal Palace (17:30 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
Former Republic of Ireland defender and Oxford United manager

Burnley have made an awful start to the season. I don't think they are as bad as their results suggest and a first league victory of the campaign is not far away.

Palace carry more of an attacking threat but this is unlikely to be an open game, full of free-flowing football. It will be a battle, and it is one that the Clarets can win.

    Prediction: 2-0

  11. 'We are getting better'published at 17:08 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2020

Burnley v Crystal Palace (17:30 GMT)

Burnley boss Sean Dyche, speaking to Sky Sports about bringing in Jay Rodriguez for Ashley Barnes: "We are getting a more competitive group again. Ashley Barnes has done ever so well and we have probably overused him. Jay Rodriguez is looking sharp.

"The performances have a slightly more solid feel. We are still not there yet, we are still not back to where we need to be but better signs.

"We have had some testing times in the Premier League so we are quite open-minded about the challenge. Experience helps but you can't wait for things to happen. We need to make it happen.

"Every game in the Premier League is tough, I have been here long enough and you can't take any game for granted."

On the news a limited number of fans are set to be allowed back into some stadiums from next month: "It will be great if they can. It is a start point. Even if it is limited numbers it brings that feel and that connection back. Hopefully it will build quickly after that. We have missed our fans."

"He is not feeling particularly ill, but unfortunately the test proved [positive], and he is following the procedures."

Burnley v Crystal Palace (17:30 GMT)

Crystal Palace could end the day fifth... or 12th.

They are ninth in the table, but only above Manchester United, Arsenal and Wolves by one on goal difference - so a 2-0 defeat could see them slide three places.

A win would take them up to seventh, and a 4-0 win takes them up to fifth.

Things could change later anyway with Wolves playing Southampton.

This is Burnley's joint worst start to a league season in their history.

They also had two points after seven games in 1977-78 but ended up finishing 11th in the second tier.

The Clarets took 11 games to pick up their first Premier League win in 2014-15 - although they had four points at this stage.
