Rangers have continued to make changes and it hasn't disrupted them. I wondered how Falkirk would line up as they don't have a natural right-back. They might put Durnan in the centre and move Hall from the centre to the right. However, they are going to have to be on their A game if they are to create a shock like Ross County's

  3. Gerrard hoping for 'relentless' Rangerspublished at 16:55 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2020

    Falkirk v Rangers (17:00)

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard tells Premier Sports that he's taking nothing for granted at Falkirk Stadium.

"We've got every respect for Falkirk," he says. "It's important that we try to do our job today and get a positive result and move into the quarter-final.

"It's something we've spoken about for a long time now, trying to stay as consistent and relentless as we can. We're on a good run at the moment, but there's always someone trying to knock you out of your stride so we have to be ready."

    Falkirk v Rangers (17:00)

    Meanwhile, back at Falkirk Stadium.

The sides last met in 2018, when Rangers strolled to a 4-1 win at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup.

However, the Bairns won their last meeting at Falkirk Stadium 3-2 in March 2016, when they were both in the Championship.

Indeed, Rangers haven't won on their last three visits.

This group of players have never been used to anything other than adulation from the fans. Now they don't have them there, and it can't be an excuse, they are missing them so much. Mentally, it has switched them off

I think the lack of fans has impacted so much on Celtic. They don't have the power of the fans to roll them on to push for that little bit of extra

  7. 'Result won't have helped my case' - Lennonpublished at 16:42 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2020

    FT: Celtic 0-2 Ross County

Celtic manager Neil Lennon admits to BBC Scotland that his track record "doesn't count for anything at the minute".

"If you keep losing games, there is an expectation at this club, there's a demand for excellence and there's a demand for wins - I am fully aware of that," he says.

"I am not standing here like the happy clapper saying everything's okay, because it's not. But we'll do everything we can, if I've still got the opportunity to do that, to turn things around.

"Today's result wouldn't have helped, put it that way."

  8. Falkirk's big askpublished at 16:36 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2020

    Falkirk v Rangers (17:00)

Can Falkirk go one better than the likes of Benfica, Standard Liege and Celtic by becoming the first side to beat Rangers on their travels this season?

Overall, Steven Gerrard's side are unbeaten in 21 games - 10 of them away from home.

But Falkirk are enjoying their own streak of good form - going eight games without a defeat since their only reverse of the season, away to Dunfermline in the group stage.

However, two massive shocks don't often on the same day in Scottish football - especially when it involves both Celtic and Rangers.

Celtic have got monumental problems in there now it seems. I wouldn't like to see Neil Lennon lose his job. I and others feel the players have let him down. There's something not right in there, there's clearly issues behind the scenes

  13. Players 'answered my call' - Kettlewellpublished at 16:22 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2020

    FT: Celtic 0-2 Ross County

Ross County manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Scotland: "It's obviously a great feeling. Any time you come to Celtic Park and get a result, it's massive for any club in Scotland.

"We're ecstatic, but the big picture for me is we need to take that on going forward. Sometimes you can upset the odds by sticking together and we've done that today.

"That's put Ross Stewart stock back up. He's back to being where we know he can be as a player playing against that calibre of defender.

"The players have answered my call. I asked them to stand up and be men and I thought, to a man, they did that."

  15. Zungu one of seven Rangers changespublished at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2020

    Falkirk v Rangers (17:00)

Following Rangers' 2-2 draw at home to Benfica in the Europa League on Thursday, manager Steven Gerrard elects to ring the changes, giving some of his key performers a rest.

Jon McLaughlin takes Allan McGregor's place in goal, with Calvin Bassey in for Leon Balogun at centre-half. Bongani Zungu is a surprise inclusion in midfield after a knee injury was projected to keep him out, while Ianis Hagi also plays, with Glen Kamara on the bench and Steven Davis not in the matchday squad.

The front three are totally rotated, with Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent on the bench and Kemar Roofe missing from the squad list. Strikers Cedric Itten and Jermain Defoe start along with winger Brandon Barker.

    Falkirk v Rangers (17:00)

We'll start turning our attention to the match up between the League One leaders and the side sitting imperiously at the top of the Premiership at Falkirk Stadium.

However, we'll still bring you all the reaction and fallout from that massive upset at Celtic Park.

  18. Attitude of players in questionpublished at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2020

    FT: Celtic 0-2 Ross County

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

"I do feel sorry for Neil Lennon because he's Celtic through and through. But the players are not responding to him now. You've got to question the attitude of the players.

"How many times did Ross County goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw have to make a save today, a real save? Nothing. Albian Ajeti had one chance, incredible.

"For me, you've got to point the finger at the players. The four players Billy Dodds mentioned [who had 'chucked it'], you've got to include Kristoffer Ajer into that. There was talk abou himt leaving the club and he just looks like he's not interested. Celtic have put him into that position where teams were looking at him.

"That's the issue at the moment, a group of players who we were singing the praises of and now they've gone so far back it's incredible."

  19. Celtic players 'chucked it'published at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2020

    FT: Celtic 0-2 Ross County

    Billy Dodds
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

"Today, this was their chance to step up, show all these rumours that were going around - just bat them away. Show 'we're still with the manager, we're still good players, we can still challenge Rangers this season'. I saw none of that today.

"I thought the Celtic performance defensively was horrific and going forward I honestly thought, and I'm not one to make bold statements, a lot of the players had chucked it. Three or four I could name - I mean Albian Ajeti, Odsonne Edouard, Tom Rogic, Haten Abd Elhamed, there was just nothing.

"The players really let the manager down today. Neil Lennon has done a lot for the club. When he needed these players today, I'm sorry, but they sadly let them down."

  20. Celtic's black balance sheetpublished at 16:05 Greenwich Mean Time 29 November 2020

    FT: Celtic 0-2 Ross County

That's County's first-ever win at Celtic Park in 13 attempts.

They had only scored once in their previous seven consecutive defeats by Celtic - losing 24 goals in the process.

Celtic have lost four home games in a row for the first time since the 1957-58 season.

Those are the stark statistics facing the Celtic decision makers as they consider where they go from here.
