For the fourth time tonight we have the ball in the net, for the third time it is disallowed. Jarrod Bowen stabs in but Thiago Silva had already gone down and he was clipped. Foul.

They've gone really sloppy haven't they Chelsea in the last minute or two.

Haller was really inventive, and Zouma took no chances, hooking it away for a corner.

@menelmacar18: Noble has had a great career but he just doesn't have the legs for this level anymore. Game passing him by as he trudges in circles never getting it out of neutral.

  4. CLOSE!published at 26 mins

    Chelsea 1-0 West Ham

Good from West Ham again, they keep the pressure on and Seb Haller hooks a ball across the goalmouth and it's cleared from inside the six-yard box.

  5. CLOSE!published at 26 mins

    Chelsea 1-0 West Ham

And now West Ham go close! Another error in the Chelsea ranks as Cesar Azpilicueta misreads a pass across and lets it under his foot - rusty? - and Aaron Cresswell collects it.

He has a man in the middle but fires a shot across goal and wide.

That must be the case yep, Neil. It's just filed under my pet hates list along with not leaving a single player up when your team is defending a corner.

Sometimes they both happen at once. Nightmare.

Paul: Seems like the West Ham players were diligently practicing social distancing inside their own box on that Chelsea corner kick.

Neil: You remember the chance that gets taken because of zonal marking. You don't remember the 99% of chances snuffed out because they didn't happen.

A rare mistake from N'Golo Kante lets Seb Haller away but he'll have to run on his own from the halfway line and he's not got the legs for it.

Jorginho hits one of those first-time lobs over the top and Tammy Abraham is close to rolling his man and meeting it on the full. It shall be a corner though. West Ham just about deal with this one.

The good news for West Ham is that Mark Noble has made the most passes for them so far.

The bad news is that number is four.

It may not be music to anyone's ears but Chelsea look a better side with Jorginho in it. In my opinion.

They're up to 76% possession so far and are moving it quickly, that's the key.

Brett: As a Chelsea fan I’m delighted to take the lead...but in my FPL draft league I’m in a very tight game where I have Ben Chilwell and my opponent has Thiago Silva. I guess as they say every silver lining has a cloud...that’s the expression right?

Tammy Abraham sidefoots into the net but everyone else stopped playing ages ago, as the ball went out. VAR has a look and yep, the ball went out.

Just not clicking for Timo Werner at the moment. His first touch has been left behind in Leipzig as he finds space on the left but lets the ball go under his studs.

I can't imagine a more difficult time to relocate than this year to be honest. Six months in London with no pubs open.

It must be good, zonal marking, otherwise nobody would do it. Not for me though.

Chelsea are well on top now, bossing the play. Mason Mount threads a cross inot the middle and it's nearly a tap-in for Timo Werner.

What a header this is, Silva just drifts in.

David Moyes will be furious, it's a free header, he's all alone.

A thumping header, no chance for the keeper. But nobody was picking him up. Really slack from West Ham.

    DEMAND IT!

What a header that is. I will never understand the merits of zonal marking until the day I expire but I know plenty about the downsides of it.

It's rubbish here again as Thiago Silva is able to run from the edge of the area, unchallenged, leap into the air and plant a bullet header into the back of the net.

    Mason Mount with the delivery.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 8 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 West Ham

I think my 24th birthday was probably the last one that involved a massive session. Ben Chilwell's ends with him going off inside 10 minutes with a knacked ankle.

    Emerson comes on.

I tell you what. That was really clever. A quick free-kick, a good run.

It's so, so close. I think he is just off, Chelsea get lucky.

What a finish as well. Chelsea need to switch on.

Yesterday it was Scott McTominay thinking he's Lothar Matthaus, now Declan Rice fancies turning into Romario.

West Ham take the freekick quickly, Rice runs across the line to collect the ball, Edouard Mendy comes out and he skips around him and smashes into the net from a tight angle.

Superbly taken! He was just offside, that's all.
