    Southampton 0-0 West Ham

West Ham spent a heck of a lot of money on Said Benrahma, more than should really be paid out for a player to make the odd appearance from off the bench. He's on now for the Hammers, replacing Manuel Lanzini.

GOAL - Brighton 0-1 Arsenalpublished at 19:22 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    Alexandre Lacazette (66 mins)

    His first touch!

Well, it's actually his second. His first is to control the cross from the right. He's completely unmarked and takes his time before picking his spot and slotting it into the right corner.

Arsenal have deserved that goal in the second half.

Joel Veltman threads it through nicely to Davy Propper. He tries to catch the keeper out at the near post by Bernd Leno keeps hold of it well.

Alireza Jahanbakhsh then brings down Emile Smith Rowe to stop the counter-attack and gets a yellow for it.

Maybe WBA should bring in Tony Pulis for his all out attacking instincts to go alongside Sam's defensive nous. Managerial dream team!

  10. Postpublished at 19:16 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    Brighton 0-0 Arsenal

Bukayo Saka curls a free-kick in from the right and it ends up bouncing off the back of Granit Xhaka and lifts comfortably into the keeper's hands.

Arsenal come straight back at Brighton again through Saka but he delays the cut-back, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in space, and instead is blocked along the byline.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:16 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

  12. 'Cavani is a ruthless goal scorer'published at 19:15 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

Man Utd v Wolves (20:00 GMT)

    Robert Earnshaw
Former Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Edinson Cavani has been one of best strikers around. He is a ruthless goal scorer; great movement, great finishing. You give him half a chance and he is scoring goals - that's who he is.

When he came to Manchester United, you should be thinking 'Yes! This is the guy we have.' On the pitch, I can't fault him. He is showing - and I think will continue to show - exactly the type of striker that people have forgotten he is.

I like the look of United's squad tonight. A proper finisher, pace on the wings, a world class playmaker in the middle, and two decent full backs.

  14. CLOSE!published at 19:15 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    West Brom 0-4 Leeds

    Almost a shambles from Leeds!

What is this game?! Leeds try to play it around the back too coolly. Illan Meslier is hurried into a pass and it's a terrible one.

Grady Diangana robs it inside the box but his shot is blocked by Meslier and the keeper then manages to scramble away the rebound with a flap of his arms.

  15. Postpublished at 19:14 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    Burnley 1-0 Sheff Utd

Sean Dyche has been saying in recent weeks that Burnley are starting to look like their old selves now they are getting players back to fitness and I'd agree based on this showing. They are very solid in defence and a threat from set pieces.

  16. Nuno urges caution with Pedro Netopublished at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

Man Utd v Wolves (20:00 GMT)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Pedro Neto has been earning rave reviews for his performances at Wolves this season.

The 20-year-old Portuguese has been outstanding as Wolves try to adjust to life without injured front-man Raul Jimenez.

But manager Nuno Espirito Santo is playing talk that he is one of the best young players in Europe just now.

“I don’t agree," he said. "One week is one thing, two weeks after is another thing and three weeks after we are talking about another things. So I don’t use this kind of words."

  17. Postpublished at 19:12 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    West Brom 0-4 Leeds

Patrick Bamford goes on a dancing run across the middle, trying to get a shot away before it's eventually blocked.

The corner is played short and chipped in towards Jack Harrison but it's too high. He was probably offside anyway.

  18. Postpublished at 19:11 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    Southampton 0-0 West Ham

Nothing to report from Southampton where this is already looking in danger of fizzling towards a goalless draw. The home side started the game looking hungry for goals but they are lacking the same intensity now.

  19. Postpublished at 19:10 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    West Brom 0-4 Leeds

West Brom have a free-kick just outside the box but it comes to nothing as Romaine Sawyers is penalised for a foul on Kalvin Phillips.

  20. Postpublished at 19:10 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    Brighton 0-0 Arsenal

Another break for Arsenal. Brighton are too open at the moment. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cuts inside off the left but skews his curling shot.

We've seen him do that so many times.
