Loser92: 45 minutes to go at the Cottage. The Cottagers will never hold on for that long. Another three points heading back to Merseyside, I think.

Guy Levin: It would be typical of this season if on a weekend where Chelsea and Tottenham throw away big chances to go top, Liverpool of all teams can't capitalise on an even better chance.

Anyone else getting serious Norwich v Man City vibes?

  2. 'Fulham have been excellent'published at 17:25 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2020

    Fulham 1-0 Liverpool

    Andy Reid
Ex-Republic of Ireland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I know people will probably focus on the fact that Liverpool have been poor but Fulham have been excellent. Their intensity, their work rate they've matched Liverpool stride for stride. They've tackled, they've headed, they've done all the basics of the game that you need to be successful. In possession they've been excellent. They've kept the ball well and had options, great on the counter and on transition they break with pace.

Andy K: Fulham will have a long 45 minutes ahead of them. A Klopp-bomb in the dressing room will really wake them up. Expect waves of attacks in the second half.

If you hadn't seen the table all season, you would struggle to believe Fulham’s current position.

    Darren

Easy half-time team talk for Klopp. Keep them all out on the pitch and practise some passing.

Fulham have improved quite a bit - even before today - from the shambles of the opening few weeks.

They've had seven efforts in the first half.

Paul Walmsley: Defensively Liverpool look worse than in the Villa game. The midfield is non-existent.

Not sure why Fulham fans are so bothered about the penalty / non-penalty. With their track record, they would probably have missed it anyway.

Only a couple of minutes for Fulham to see this to the break. The Reds are putting a bit of pressure on now.

    Fulham 1-0 Liverpool

    Andy Reid

That was the only opportunity Liverpool have had, really. It was the only time they’ve had decent possession in Fulham’s defensive third.

I’ve been going on about Fulham’s work-rate, but we need to touch upon the quality of Fulham’s play. They’ve been a pleasure to watch in this first half so far.

Michael Bedwell: This performance is worse than the Villa game. Only difference is Alisson playing to keep the score down.

John Wray: As a Reds fan, I feel Fulham are good for the 1-0. A dead cert penalty & should be two.

This performance reminds me of the 3-0 loss to Watford last year, if not worse.

Liverpool's second opportunity of the game. Curtis Jones lifts in a cross which Sadio Mane heads over the bar. He should have hit the target.

Fulham counter quickly from that poor cross and Ademola Lookman rolls a ball across the six-yard box. But nobody is there.

Aleksandar Mitrovic would have loved that one.

    Fulham 1-0 Liverpool

    Andy Reid
Ex-Republic of Ireland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Fulham are making life very difficult for Liverpool’s attacking players. Mane hasn’t had a kick yet, Salah hasn’t had a kick yet.

Liverpool have got quality players, so there’s going to come a time where Fulham will have to be brave. They have to be on guard for the full 90 minutes.
