Our friends at the VAR hub have sent through some clarifications on two decisions from this game today. Here is what they said:

Fulham penalty appeal – 16 minutes - Fabinho challenge on Cavaleiro

The on-field decision was to award a corner. The VAR advised the referee to review the incident at the Referee Review Area for a potential penalty. He stayed with the on-field decision of corner as he felt that Fabinho got the ball, and there was no evidence of a clear and obvious error.

Potential push on Mohamed Salah in build-up to Fulham goal– 25 minutes

In the build-up to the Fulham goal in the 25th minute, Antonee Robinson extended his arms as he and Mohamed Salah challenged for the ball. The VAR checked for a potential foul, but considered that it was normal contact.

A brilliant run by Curtis Jones who picks the ball deep into his own half and runs 50 yards before shooting from the edge of the box. The finish doesn't match the run though and the keeper saves.

It would be desperately unfair on Fulham if they ended up losing this.

It wasn't the best penalty and the keeper didn't gamble going either way. He thought Mo Salah was going to play it down the middle. Not the best penalty but Liverpool won't care and they've still got 10-15 minutes to get back into this and get a winner. It's going to be a long 12 minutes or so for Fulham.

Another poor decision in Liverpool’s favour.

Could the Fulham defender have possibly done any more to get his hands out of the way?

It's been so high intensity, it's the game I've enjoyed the most since football started back again this season. It's been really good, end to end, really high intensity, plenty of tackles and headers and really good play as well. No surprise that there's a few changes now - people starting to get a bit tired, the tempo has been really high.

Joseph Palmer: The spirit of this Fulham team is incredible.

I don't care what you say. The best player in the world in this Liverpool team is Van Dijk. Without him there is no defence!

    Darren, Torquay

With 20 minutes left, Liverpool are still clearly going to win this. Probably 3-1.
