  1. 'Big test for Spurs at Anfield'published at 19:02 Greenwich Mean Time 16 December 2020

    Liverpool v Tottenham (20:00 GMT)

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Tottenham and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

This is a really big test for Tottenham at Anfield tonight. Yes, they are more organised defensively, they are more counter-attacking and are using that very, very well but this is a massive test for them.

Jose Mourinho wants his players to be disciplined and winners and it is good for Mourinho that Liverpool have got a lot of injuries - especially at the back.

He's not going to get a better chance as manager of Tottenham to win here.

Eddie: Should Arsenal lose this game, Edu and Mikel should do the honorable thing and submit their resignations together. The rank management of the Ozil, Sokratis and Guendouzi situations have contributed to the demise of our club!

Arsenal's inspiration should be the sacking of the manager at half time.

    Keith, Herts

Maybe Arsenal should have got big Sam instead based on their current form

    Steve Sidwell
Former Chelsea midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Important team talk coming up for Arteta. Arsenal haven't played poorly but they just need that little bit of conviction in the final third.

Southampton have deservedly gone in at half-time one nil up, with a great goal from Theo Walcott. They are in control. Every player knows their role, every player knows what their responsibilities are and the gaps to fill in. They are in complete control.

Olufemi: This arsenal team look lost... key players seem uninterested.

James Ward-Prowse does so much more than just score free kicks. Would love to see him at the Euros.

Southampton work the ball quickly, dragging the Arsenal defenders this way and that.

Stuart Armstrong finally finds Theo Walcott in the box, but the former Gunner curls his strike straight at Bernd Leno.

CM: Seeing Arteta's woeful management is starting to make me genuinely think that my record on Football Manager means I could manage a real life team. Which I presume is how Mikel also got the job.

Jonny Bowman: Sums up Steve Bruce's Newcastle. Score a goal you didn't deserve, sit back and invite pressure, defend poorly, concede. Repeat.

Simon Atkins: Southampton playing with the belief you could see Leicester play with the year they won the league. They couldn't, could they?

  20. SUBSTITUTION - Allan offpublished at 40 mins

    Leicester 0-1 Everton

This is a real blow. Allan can't even stand up, he's carried off on a stretcher. Looks in a bad way.

Andre Gomes is a handy replacement though.
