It looks like the Arsenal are going to match Southampton in a 4-4-2 formation, especially out of possession and just watch the wide players coming into the midfield area.
Southampton do play very expansive football, so if Arsenal do break quick, they have a chance.

As much as people criticise Big Sam, he's very good at doing what a lot of his more lauded contemporaries can't seem to do - organise teams and keep them up.

Superb start from Leicester and they are very nearly ahead already!
Harvey Barnes runs in from the left, finds Jamie Vardy in the area and he lays it back to Youri Tielemans. The Belgian laces it first time, left foot, around Michael Keane and a yard wide.
Robin Olsen didn't move.

Daniel Cheng: Arteta right to drop Willian amd Bellerin as they've not performed recently. Hope Pepe's return can add some attacking guile.
Weird season so far. It's like everyone is trying their hardest NOT to win the league!

With the Southampton line-up, you know what you are going to get.
With Arsenal, who knows? Ainsley Maitland-Niles, for example, can play in different positions, so Mikel Arteta is still trying to find his best team, or his best performers. Which is still yet to come.

I look at this Arsenal team and squad and ask 'are they individuals or are they a collective?' Is this going to be a dressing room where cliques are forming and small groups are sniggering and finger pointing behind player's backs - especially when they are losing and players may be singled out, like Mesut Ozil for example.
You have to remember, no one has got a given right to be in the Premier League. Just because Arsenal have got a big stadium and world class players, if you're under-performing and only one or two are performing week in, week out, this league will bite you where it hurts and you can get relegated.
And the form that Arsenal are in at the moment, they really are in relegation form.

Jonathan Spencer: Well done Arteta for the team selection this evening, nice to see things shaken up a bit (taking in to account some individual poor performances over the last few weeks). Go get the result tonight... I’m sure Eddie will be lively.
If there was ever a week for Southampton to make pundits and teams take them seriously as title contenders it's this one. This could be an amazing year.

Leeds v Newcastle (18:00 GMT)
Newcastle United
Magpies boss Steve Bruce speaking to Amazon Prime on the strike partnership of Callum Wilson and Joelinton: "That's why we've gone with the system. It's helped Big Joe to be a bit deeper - at the top of the end of the pitch we've started to look a handful.
"Leeds haven't got many weaknesses. If we can do something from set-pieces we will look at. When Bielsa took over we saw the difference - the big thing you noticed was that their physicality was unbelievable."

An outbreak forced the club's training ground to close for a week, while a game at Aston Villa was postponed.
Bruce has not named those who are still suffering, or how many tested positive.
"If you ever underestimated this thing then don't, because you're talking about elite professionals here and the way it got a hold of everybody was quite scary stuff," said Bruce.
"For everybody out there, for goodness' sake, stay safe. I know it's Christmas but after what we've just witnessed then you've got to be careful."
