    Swansea City 0-0 Reading

Another great chance for Swansea and it's the new man in action, Joel Latibeaudiere who gets it.

A towering header from the defender from Jake Bidwell's cross is brilliantly stopped by Rafael on his line low down to his left.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 53 mins

    Swansea City 0-0 Reading

Ryan Bennett looks to be struggling to continue here for Swansea after clutching his leg from what might be a hamstring strain from that previous Reading attack.

Indeed he is off for the night and is replaced by Joel Latibeaudiere.

  3. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Swansea City 0-0 Reading

Reading nearly carve out a decent opening as Sam Baldock and Alfa Semedo combine.

Baldock's surging run opened up half a chance as he attempted a back heel towards Semedo but he wasn't quite fully on the same wavelength to latch on to a shooting opportunity.

  4. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Swansea City 0-0 Reading

Swansea out of the blocks in this second half with intent.

Jay Fulton tries to force a chance with a cross from the right but the final ball isn't there once again for the hosts.

  5. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Swansea City 0-0 Reading

Good move from Swansea down the left and Connor Roberts nearly got his head on the end of a cross from Jake Bidwell.

Rafael comes out quickly though to punch it clear for Reading.

  6. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Swansea City 0-0 Reading

Early attacking free-kick for Reading taken by Michael Olise.

But his left-foot strike is always climbing over the crossbar and harmlessly behind for a Swansea goal kick.

Here we go then for the resumption.

No changes as yet to either side. Will there be a change on the scoreboard soon?

Not long to go until we resume in South Wales.

Well, no goals in this one so far, but we have had a bit of entertainment and action already in the Championship this evening.

Let's bring you up to speed in case you weren't with us...

  14. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:49 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2020

The first half ends with Sam Baldock testing Freddie Woodman from range with a low struck free-kick.

Woodman gets down well to his left to gather that one.

Chances for both sides if not bucket loads of them. Swansea will feel they should be ahead though after Marc Guehi spurned the best of them.

  15. Postpublished at 45+1 mins

    Swansea City 0-0 Reading

Two minutes being added on as the game almost goes from one penalty box to the next.

Jay Fulton has a strike blocked by the Reading defence before Michael Olise breaks clear on the counter.

Ryan Bennett trips him down from behind rather cynically and David Webb wastes no time showing him a yellow card.

  16. Postpublished at 44 mins

    Swansea City 0-0 Reading

Some concern here for Reading as goalkeeper Rafael is down injured receiving treatment in his six-yard box.

Not sure what it was that saw him go to ground but he looks like he's OK for the time being as he takes the goal kick, albeit rather gingerly.

  17. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Swansea City 0-0 Reading

Great skill and quick feet from Jamal Lowe as he keeps a Swansea move alive with his trickery down the left.

A very entertaining footballer to watch when in full flow.

Swansea have half a shout for handball as Lowe clips the ball on to the hand of Reading centre-back Tom Holmes, but he knew absolutely nothing about that.

  18. Postpublished at 39 mins

    Swansea City 0-0 Reading

Reading with a huge let off there.

Swansea starting to stretch them a bit more as they move the ball out wide.

Jay Fulton and Korey Smith nearly combine to play the latter through but Reading once more are there to clear the danger.

  19. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Swansea City 0-0 Reading

Oh my! Swansea should be ahead.

Somehow they aren't though as Marc Guehi spurns a glorious chance to open the scoring from just eight yards out.

Deep corner from the right goes to the back post and is nodded down into the centre-back's path and he just needs to hit the target.

But he spoons it over the bar when it looked easier to score.

  20. Postpublished at 36 mins

    Swansea City 0-0 Reading

Reading respond to that latest Swansea chance by building a decent passing move but Sam Baldock can't get the ball to stick for him on his own up top.

Alfa Semedo then heads wide from distance when the ball breaks to him outside the penalty area.
