Ryan Bennett looks to be struggling to continue here for Swansea after clutching his leg from what might be a hamstring strain from that previous Reading attack.

Indeed he is off for the night and is replaced by Joel Latibeaudiere.

Reading nearly carve out a decent opening as Sam Baldock and Alfa Semedo combine.

Baldock's surging run opened up half a chance as he attempted a back heel towards Semedo but he wasn't quite fully on the same wavelength to latch on to a shooting opportunity.

Swansea out of the blocks in this second half with intent.

Jay Fulton tries to force a chance with a cross from the right but the final ball isn't there once again for the hosts.

Good move from Swansea down the left and Connor Roberts nearly got his head on the end of a cross from Jake Bidwell.

Rafael comes out quickly though to punch it clear for Reading.

But his left-foot strike is always climbing over the crossbar and harmlessly behind for a Swansea goal kick.

There's been a departure from Watford today.

Etienne Capoue is leaving The Hornets for La Liga as he switches Hertfordshire for Villarreal.

Millwall haven't been able to get out on the pitch since 19 December due to Covid-19 problems.

But, off the pitch, two of their stalwarts have signed-on for another year at The Den.

Elsewhere in the Championship today, QPR say they are appalled by reported racist abuse towards their player Bright Osayi-Samuel during Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Norwich.

In the evening's earlier fixture, Brentford climbed to second after a fantastic come-from-behind victory against fellow promotion contenders Bournemouth.

The first half ends with Sam Baldock testing Freddie Woodman from range with a low struck free-kick.

Woodman gets down well to his left to gather that one.

Chances for both sides if not bucket loads of them. Swansea will feel they should be ahead though after Marc Guehi spurned the best of them.

Not sure what it was that saw him go to ground but he looks like he's OK for the time being as he takes the goal kick, albeit rather gingerly.

Great skill and quick feet from Jamal Lowe as he keeps a Swansea move alive with his trickery down the left.

Swansea have half a shout for handball as Lowe clips the ball on to the hand of Reading centre-back Tom Holmes, but he knew absolutely nothing about that.

Somehow they aren't though as Marc Guehi spurns a glorious chance to open the scoring from just eight yards out.

Deep corner from the right goes to the back post and is nodded down into the centre-back's path and he just needs to hit the target.

But he spoons it over the bar when it looked easier to score.

Reading respond to that latest Swansea chance by building a decent passing move but Sam Baldock can't get the ball to stick for him on his own up top.

Alfa Semedo then heads wide from distance when the ball breaks to him outside the penalty area.
