That's as far as we go in here this evening.

It was a big night for Derby, who won 4-0 at Birmingham to climb out of the Championship relegation zone, and managerless Sheffield Wednesday, who claimed a 2-1 win over Middlesbrough less than 24 hours after sacking Tony Pulis.

Leaders Norwich had to settle for a point after QPR fought back to draw 1-1 at Carrow Road and that result will have been of particular interest to the four teams in action tomorrow.

Fourth host third when Brentford play Bournemouth at 17:30 GMT before second-placed Swansea entertain sixth-placed Reading at 20:00 GMT.

As well as action on the pitch, we've had news off it this evening, with Jake Buxton leaving his job as Burton manager following their 4-3 home defeat by Wigan.

The Brewers are bottom of League One and have won only one of their past 19 games.

But Buxton, who took over when Nigel Clough resigned in May to help save the club money during the coronavirus pandemic, is leaving the Pirelli Stadium on good terms.

"I'm honoured," he told BBC Radio Derby. "I've been proud to be part of this football club for a long period of time, play in front of the supporters and have the honour of managing this football club at League One level.

"I've loved every minute of it. I wish whoever comes into the building to take this club forward is successful.

"There are some good lads in the dressing room, they do need a few fresh faces but I do believe they will get out of trouble."
