    FT: Burton 3-4 Wigan

    Breaking news from the Pirelli Stadium where Jake Buxton is leaving Burton Albion following their defeat by Wigan this evening.

    Buxton took over in the summer after Nigel Clough left the Brewers to help the club save money during the coronavirus pandemic.

    Buxton leaves Burton bottom of League One, with only two wins this season.

    The Brewers have lost their past four in a seven-match winless spell, and have one win in 19 league games.

    League One and League Two update

    Gillingham pulled one back before the break at Northampton, with Kyle Dempsey making it 2-1.

    MK Dons have wrapped up victory at Swindon, with Regan Poole making it 4-1 to the visitors.

    In League Two, Leyton Orient have lost their past three and five of their last six but look to be heading for all three points at home against Southend.

    Conor Wilkinson has made it 2-0 to the O's.

    Alex Gilliead has restored Scunthorpe's lead at Walsall, and Crawley are back in front at Forest Green through Tom Nichols.

    That would deny Rovers top spot.

    Wigan have held on to win 4-3 at Burton, and that will lift them to the brink of escaping the League One relegation zone.

    The Latics have moved level on points with Rochdale and Bristol Rovers, who are both not in action tonight.

    Northampton are 2-0 up at home against Gillingham while Josh Ruffels has equalised for Oxford at Plymouth.

    Shrewsbury are seven unbeaten - winning three of those games - and Daniel Udoh has put them ahead against Blackpool.

    In League Two, Wes McDonald has levelled for Walsall against Scunthorpe.
