    David Wheeler (63 mins)

Wycombe have barely broken out of their half since the restart but they've just doubled their lead.

Garath McCleary chips in a brilliant cross and David Wheeler happily heads it in.

  3. CLOSE!published at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    Rotherham 1-2 Barnsley

Where was this Rotherham side in the first half?

Millers forward Freddie Ladapo is sent through, but the striker can't find the target, flashing his effort wide of the post.

    Should've been the equaliser.

  4. goal

GOAL: Luton 1-1 Bristol Citypublished at 21:09 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

Sonny Bradley (own goal) (61 mins)

    Disaster for Sonny Bradley.

The Luton Defnder is desperately trying to cut out Nahki Wells' low cross but hammers the ball high into his own net.

    League Two update

Barrow are level against Tranmere from the penalty spot with 25 minutes left.

Scott Quigley was fouled and picked himself up and dusted himself down before converting from 12 yards.

Hold on and the Cumbrians will remain three points clear of the drop zone.

  6. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    Norwich 0-0 QPR

All Norwich, this time Teemu Pukki is set free down the right.

The Finland international tees up Todd Cantwell for a tap-in but it looks like Pukki was offside in the build up.

Norwich thought they'd broken the deadlock then. Cantwell was sprinting off to the corner flag.

    Huddersfield 1-0 Blackburn

Isaac Mbenza nearly gets a second for the hosts but Blackburn goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski denies his free-kick.

    League One and League Two

About half an hour remains in the three games in League One.

Forest Green have missed the chance to go top of League Two, with Rovers losing 2-1 at home against a Crawley side who have extended their unbeaten run to seven games.

Scunthorpe have climbed away from danger after holding on to a 2-1 lead at Walsall.

Barrow still trail 1-0 at home against Tranmere with an hour gone, and Colchester are drawing 0-0 with out-of-form Cheltenham.

Stoke are moving into the play-off places as things stand.

  10. goal

GOAL: Rotherham 1-2 Barnsleypublished at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    Michael Smith (57 mins)

    Back in it.

It's an almost comical set-piece as nearly every Rotherham attacker is crammed into the six-yard box.

Daniel Barlaser fires the corner into the mixer and Michael Smith rises highest to head home.

  11. CLOSE!published at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    Wycombe 1-0 Cardiff

All Cardiff since the restart. Sheyi Ojo stings the palms of Wycombe keeper Ryan Allsop but fellow Liverpool loannee Harry Wilson can only fire the rebound over the bar.

And moments later it's Wilson again creating danger, firing wide from a tight angle.

  12. goal

GOAL: Huddersfield 1-0 Blackburnpublished at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    Naby Sarr (53 mins)

Blackburn probably shouldn't leave Huddersfield centre-half Naby Sarr unmarked on corners.

The big defender is left all alone and heads home to give the Terriers the lead.

    Norwich 0-0 QPR

    Daniel BardenImage source, Rex Features

I've had to search for some Daniel Barden stats online. My Norwich notes don't stretch to their third-choice keeper.

Apparently, the 19-year-old is an ex-Arsenal youth player who spent last season on loan at Isthmian League North Division side Bury Town.

I may have have to do some more research on him. With Tim Krul out since suffering a thigh injury last month and McGovern now sidelined, Barden could be a regular.

  14. goal

GOAL: Preston 2-0 Coventrypublished at 21:00 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    Sean Maguire (53 mins)

Are Preston putting their rotten home form behind them?

Sean Maguire doubles the home team's lead form very close in after a goalmouth scramble.

Sheffield Wednesday celebrateImage source, Getty Images

Massive win for the managerless Owls!

First-half goals from Callum Paterson and Liam Shaw prove to be enough for caretaker Neil Thompson.

Wednesday remain in the relegation zone but, as it stands, are just two points adrift of safety.

League One and League Two update

Alan Sheehan has restored Northampton's two-goal cushion at home against Gillingham, making it 3-1 two minutes into the second half.

Rob Hunt was sent off for Swindon in the closing stages of their 4-1 home defeat by MK Dons, and the struggling Robins are now six without a win.

In League Two, Southend's five match unbeaten run has come to an end at Leyton Orient, with the Shrimpers going down 2-0.

Managerless Grimsby have drawn 0-0 against Oldham to move three points clear of the relegation zone.

    Sheff Wed 2-1 Middlesbrough

We're into four minutes of time added on at Hillsborough.

Can the managerless hosts hold on for a vital victory?

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:51 Greenwich Mean Time 29 December 2020

    Norwich 0-0 QPR

Strange one. Norwich keeper Michael McGovern doesn't reappear for the second half. Instead he's been replaced by Wales Under-19 shotstopper Daniel Barden.

McGovern picked up a hamstring injury in the opening period. But he seemed to have shaken it off by the time we reached the break.
