Marcelo Bielsa's hamstrings are getting a workout as ever. On his haunches...

Spurs seem to be finding more space on the ball now. Harry Kane does really well inside the area to make space for a cross but when he digs it out it's well cleared. Steven Bergwijn then charges down a rash ball but has the wind knocked out of him. Straight shot to the gut.

  3. CLOSE!published at 22 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Leeds

And now a good chance for Leeds on the counter! Raphinha bends in a brilliant cross from the right, Patrick Bamford is ahead of his marker to meet it but it's a little bit high for him and he heads over the top.

    Good opening.

    Tottenham 0-0 Leeds

Son whips in a free-kick from the left which causes some anxiety in the Leeds defence. The ball eventually finds its way back to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg about 15 yards out and he slaps a shot straight at Illan Meslier in the Leeds goal.

  5. CLOSE!published at 16 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Leeds

And that is the first real sight of goal for the hosts - Son sprints into the left-hand side of the area, he's half tackled and as the ball breaks out Harry Kane runs on to it and fires in a rising shot over the top.

Luke Ayling then plays a slack pass straight to Steven Bergwijn but he hits a loose shot well off target.

    Tottenham 0-0 Leeds

Spurs definitely having a swing of momentum their way now though, they are pressing the game more. Son seems fine also.

  7. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Leeds

Here's the quandary for Spurs and for Jose Mourinho. They do come forwards in numbers for the first time and are nearly caught by a fluid Leeds counter. Mateusz Klich picks out Patrick Bamford over the top, he plays a one-two with Rodrigo and shoots but can't get hold of it under pressure. Fascinating watch at the moment.

Dean Plumley: Nice to see Leeds sticking to their attacking style, it's so refreshing.

Dennis Ethan: Leeds United have pinned Spurs in their half and with good chances to open the scoring. I expected much better from Jose

Son isn't looking too clever by the way. He stayed down after a challenge a minute or two ago and looked like he was going to be sick while waiting for a Spurs corner to come in. We'll keep an eye on him.

  10. CLOSE!published at 11 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Leeds

And Leeds really should be ahead by now! Ezgjan Alioski runs and runs from left-back, he then finds a great ball to send in Jack Harrison. His cutback is blocked - by the arm? - of Matt Doherty, and Mateusz Klich shovels the loose ball over from close range.

No real penalty shout there. Leeds look dangerous.

    Tottenham 0-0 Leeds

Leeds look to spring Patrick Bamford into the channel beyond Eric Dier but he's just offside. The visitors looking comfortable on the ball as ever.

Close! Ooh, Jack Harrison flashes in a fine cross which is between Bamford and Raphinha. Just needed a touch.

It's open and attractive so far. Harry Kane loses the ball in the low winter sun.

The Robinsons: I just can’t see how playing Kane, Son, Ndombele and Bergwijn is defensive. Mourinho is setting them up to deal with Leeds’ pressing. I know a 8-8 draw would be fun but expect a 1-0 to Spurs

Chadrac Morris: Tottenham need to go out there and score 2 or 3 goals to win, rather than protecting a 1 goal lead which has cost them to lose points recently

Nice! That is close, neat one-touch passing on the edge of the Spurs area sends in Ezgjan Alioski on the overlap. He's got no angle for a shot really but goes for it and slashes into the side-netting.

  15. Postpublished at 4 mins

Son stretches Leeds with a run in behind and the visitors look a bit ragged but they block the cross well enough. Eric Dier then slices a pass out of play.

Robbie Keane scored the winner the last time these sides met in the league - for Spurs. A clash between two of his 37 boyhood sides.

Leeds clear the first wave of Spurs attack.

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Jose Mourinho has been so critical and vocal of how the Premier League handled their situation [game called off against Fulham] which I totally disagree with. You have to accept we're in strange and difficult times - if it has to be called off at whatever time then it has to be called off.

To then see some of his players breaking the rules and laws, particularly when millions of people are sacrificing so much not only in this country but around the world, Mourinho must be so angry.
