David: Don’t forget Kenwyn Jones ex Bournemouth and Trinidad

Why not have a bit of famous footballing Kens chat? So far we have Ken Monkou and now Kenwyn Jones. And of course, Watford's Ken Sema.

  4. CLOSE!published at 21:41 Greenwich Mean Time 9 January 2021

    Man Utd 1-0 Watford

Marcus Rashford wins a free-kick on the left and it's curled in towards Harry Maguire. He heads it over.

Rashford then skips past Will Hughes, gets into the box and tries to beat the keeper from a tight angle but it's a comfortable save in the end. Decent chance!

When you make so many changes and you bring in the squad players, as such, players who don't normally start week in, week out, it can either go one way or the other. They are out there to prove a point and say 'I want the shirt' but the majority of them, if we are honest, haven't done that.

I'm assuming OGS is leaving Lingard on for old time's sake. Can't believe he's taken Greenwood off.

Kenan: This game is crying out loud for Ighalo but what does Solkjaer do, bring on Martial and Rashford. I feel for the Nigerian

Reindeer: Even if Utd win the FA Cup AND the League this year, there will be Utd fans who would STILL want Ole gone. I'm not sure what else the bloke is meant to have done? He was over-hyped when he joined but that's not his fault is it? One of the nicest guys in football, too

Shane: You'd hope this lot would realise if they can't impress in this game then they have no chance of breaking into the first team. James is hopeless, lost, and totally out of his depth. On the opposite end of the spectrum, VDB oozes class

Jesse Lingard tries to pick out Marcus Rashford on the far side but it's a hopeless, looping ball.

Marc Navarro intercepts it in the air and wins the second ball but Harry Maguire eventually mops up for United.

Watford have had two corners and three free-kicks in the last couple of minutes. They are asking questions of Manchester United.

Ben's favourite guy (see 9.32 entry) Ken Sema takes the free-kick but curls it wide and over from a tight angle.

Bit of a waste. Watford had bodies in the box.

Watford should just go for it now. If you lose by two or three, it doesn't matter because it's not the league. Have a right go at it!

The most interesting thing since the goal is Watford’s sub who’s just come on, he’s called Ken. There can’t be too many Kens knocking about professional football these days. The last I can think of was Southampton defender Ken Monkou, and that’s about 25 years ago. Almost as interesting, he went on to run a pancake house in his native Holland.

Mason Greenwood didn't look relaxed tonight, he looked anxious. Not sure what's going on in his mind but he just doesn't look happy.

Watford are still looking for an equaliser. Another decent move down the right is broken up by Scott McTominay but Watford have a corner.
