What was Axel Tuanzebe thinking, picking up that yellow card? You can get yourself organised, get yourself in a good position. There's no need to kick the ball away.

Chris: If Watford had any attacking guile, they'd be level or ahead. But we haven't had any for a few years.

I just wonder if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would consider putting Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford on to liven things up here. Yes, they are 1-0 up and that will take them through but you expect a bit more from the players out there, the quality that Manchester United have got.

Nokeeroe: The Hornets have got Man Utd on the ropes here. They can get a result at Old Trafford.

Mark: There are no best teams anymore, there are best squads from which a suitable team is picked dependent on the opposition.

It's pumped forward for Daniel James to chase and he's almost through but goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann reads the situation, comes charging out of the box and makes the clearance.

    Manuel Neuer-esque.

    Simon Stone

Odion Ighalo is nearing the end of his year on loan at Manchester United, the club he has always supported.

As Watford are his former club, tonight would be the perfect chance for a farewell appearance.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still has four changes left. Will Ighalo be one of them?

Dan James is like that little puppy that you see scampering around a park oblivious to the world around it. Never ever a Man Utd player.

Juan Mata curls in a corner from the right and it's aimed at Mason Greenwood. He hits it first-time on the bounce but doesn't generate enough power.

It's comfortably saved in the bottom right corner.

The thing that astounds me about this Manchester United side - and they are all internationals and top players - is the communication. Just simple things like 'man on', just basic shouts. You don't see anyone speaking but Harry Maguire!

Ethan: I don’t want people to get confused with Dan James having lots of shots with playing well. He’s squandered literally every chance he’s had.

More crosses into the box from Watford, who are getting the ball into wide areas. Joao Pedro does really well to get anything on this as it's too high for him but he nods it back across goal.

Dean Henderson can calmly gather it in.

It's still not clicking for United. Alex Telles' first-time pass to Daniel James down the line is way wide and goes out for a throw-in.

Jesse Lingard then comes in late on Will Hughes.

Watford's play tonight has not been brilliant but Manchester United have been so sloppy in the way they have distributed the ball - and Watford have grown in confidence from it.
