Man Utd 1-0 Watford
Alex Telles feeds it through to Daniel James in the box but his touch is way too heavy. It allows Francisco Sierralta to come across and clear.

A little bit better from Manchester United. They are moving the ball, there were options on, they are getting a bit more width. Unfortunately, Daniel James just hasn't used the ball well enough for United.

Everyone here tonight in the media is wearing about three coats!
There are various ingenious ways to keep warm, my favourite of which is some of our colleagues have brought these electric blankets, which they put on the ground, take off their shoes and stand on them - and that apparently keeps you warm!
Behind closed doors football in July is fine, January, not so much!

Daniel James is in space in the box as he tries to curl it into the right-hand corner but it's comfortable for the Watford keeper.
FT: Arsenal 2-0 Newcastle
Arsenal
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta on goalscorer Emile Smith Rowe's performance: "It was very impressive because he is playing with a lot of personality, a lot of risk. He is playing in areas where he needs to make things happen and he has got the talent to do it."
On Arsenal's recent form: "We have five days to prepare for the game against Crystal Palace, so we want to keep going and win more games. It's always important to stay in the competitions, we want to fight for this competition again, so today was a big game for us."
FT: Arsenal 2-0 (aet) Newcastle

Nice. Watford move it from right to left. It comes to Joao Pedro on the edge of the box but his strike flies over the bar.
Good build-up from Watford though.

Back under way for the second half. Any response from Watford?

Shane: Utd’s forward line doesn’t look close to being fit. James looks completely lost. It’s time to show him the door
Neil: Re Dawsey (20:54) I don’t think getting kneed in the face by his own goalkeeper was his intention when he followed the flight of the ball
FT: Chorley 2-0 Derby
Derby County stand-in boss Pat Lyons, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "It wasn't the fairytale we wanted. Disappointed not to get the result but from the week we have had, on and off the pitch, we've had to adapt so much.
"Even yesterday, we had four more players that had to drop out. Playing a third-round FA Cup game against men, they wouldn't be used to doing that every week. That physicality, those long balls, they probably have never headed so many balls. They have had to compete and we're proud of every single one of them.
"This is FA Cup football, it's on the telly and you'll never be able to take this moment away from the boys. It's been a great experience for them and the things that they have learnt today, they will take into their future careers.
"They will watch the game back and learn loads from it. That's what it is all about."

You can see from the heatmap on the left that Man Utd have enjoyed a lot of possession, especially down the left.
Watford grew into the half but found space on the right through Ismaila Sarr and Joao Pedro making runs in behind.

Couldn't agree more with David, fans should concentrate on supporting their team and stop moaning when everything isn't perfect. Come on United!

Disappointing that Maguire will play another 45+ mins. The man needs to rest!

Adam: On this evidence, I'm convinced United can make it all the way, to yet another, semi final!
Dawesy: This is exactly why Bailly cannot be a starter for Utd. Every game he us injury prone or puts himself in situations where he will get injured.
David: Are you only putting out only the negative messages or is our fan base really that depressive? I'm happy, we're 1-0 up in the FA Cup and joint top in the league. Not lost sight of the word "support".

Manchester United's medical staff were clearly not prepared to take any risks with Eric Bailly then, which is a good thing.
The Ivorian was guided down the tunnel as Harry Maguire came on.
Given all the stories around concussion and dementia, Bailly's exit has to be viewed as a major positive.
Better to miss half a game of football and be OK, than play on when you are not.

Eric Bailey wanted to get back on but the medial staff were ushering him down the tunnel.
He only accepted his evening was over when he saw Harry Maguire stripped and ready.
Man Utd 1-0 Watford
Manchester United in front at the break but that was very much a half of two halves with Watford finishing much stronger.
