Abdoulaye Doucoure drives through the middle and tees up Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He leaves it for Bernard but he wasn't expecting it.

West Ham try to break but Pablo Fornals' pass out wide is a poor one.

Richarlison, operating on the right tonight, flicks it over Aaron Cresswell's head and curls it in early.

Jarrod Bowen shoots from long range and it's blocked but Sebastien Haller had made a very good run in behind if he had been picked out...

Aaron Cresswell delays the cross, waiting for movement from Jarrod Bowen in the middle and he finds him.

Bowen can't quite direct the header and it bounces off the top of his back and rolls harmlessly away from goal.

Abdoulaye Doucoure then puts a ball in for Everton at the other end but Angelo Ogbonna is there to deal with it.

Bernard picks the ball up in space for Everton. He lays it off to Gylfi Sigurdsson on the left and he drills it in low to the box.

Craig Dawson gets a touch on it which wrong-foots the keeper but it takes all the pace off it and it's comfortable for Darren Randolph.

Everton are controlling possession at the moment. It's played over the top for Ben Godfrey on the left but he can't quite pick out Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the middle.

Sebastien Haller will carry it up the other end for West Ham now.

Said Benrahma battles well down the left to get the better of Seamus Coleman. Declan Rice then switches it over to the far side but Ben Godfrey mops up well to win a goal kick.

Jarrod Bowen squeezes a cross in from the right but it's a comfortable clearance for Mason Holgate.

Can Everton test West Ham keeper Darren Randolph early on? He can't have had long to prepare.

West Ham boss David Moyes told BT Sport: "I’m getting told by the medical team how long we can play [Michail Antonio] for.

"I knew the other night I had 15 minutes, I think tonight I have a little longer if we need him. He can’t start yet that’s for sure.

"He has a history of hamstring injuries, we don’t want to aggravate it further."

On why Ryan Fredericks is missing from the squad: “Covid.”

Are any other players affected? “It’s a private matter, I've given you one name already.”

Uh-oh. Late change to the starting XI for West Ham. Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has dropped out of the squad. Darren Randolph starts in his place.

David Martin is on the bench.

Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin is one goal shy of matching his total of 15 from last season.

There seems to be a lot of draws about at the moment - West Ham have drawn three of their past four matches and I think we will see another one here.

West Ham boss David Moyes would probably be happy with that - since leaving Goodison Park in 2013, he has lost on all four occasions he has come back with Manchester United, Sunderland and the Hammers.

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti speaking to BT Sport: "We have more players back. We have Richarlison and James Rodriguez on the bench, it’s good to have important players.

"The squad is improving. We can prepare well [for] the next games. Alex Iwobi was a little tired so I didn’t want to take a risk. The same as Michael Keane, he’s played a lot of games. Maybe a rest it good."

On Mason Holgate and Ben Godfrey playing out of position this season: "They are doing really well because they are not used to playing at full-back.

"They showed strong personality and quality. It depends what you ask of them. I didn’t want them to push, I wanted them to play defensively."

Ben Rogers: 1st January and Keane not starting for the Toffees already makes my FPL team look questionable.

The hype about James Rodriguez when he came into the club was incredible and his form was outstanding.

But he dipped off the defensive side of it, people found gaps in behind him, you could make runs off the back of him and whoever was playing in the right-back position was often in a two-vs-one and it was difficult.

Now that James has been out of the team and Lucas Digne and Seamus Coleman have been injured, it’s forced them to play centre-halves at full-back – and they’ve just found a real nice solid base that allows the midfield and attackers to express themselves.

But James is a match winner and he will be critical to Everton this season. You can’t write him off and say they will be better without him, you have to find a formula that suits him as well.
