'Huge moment in United's season'
FT: Burnley 0-1 Man Utd
Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live
Manchester United met this challenge by Burnley head on. They were physical in the first half, they challenged for everything and Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes got no real change out of Eric Bailly and Harry Maguire.
United probably didn't dominate in the way they would've liked, they didn't pop it around quick enough, but they probably should've been ahead with that disallowed goal.
Second half was more what we expected with Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes pulling the strings. You felt the way United celebrated that goal and the unity they showed that it was a huge moment for them in their season.
'Today I scored but it doesn't matter'
Wolves 1-2 Everton
Wolves
Wolves goalscorer Ruben Neves, speaking to Sky Sports: "Like I said, it's football. About learning and improving.
"We need to see the game today and the mistakes. And we need to improve from that. Today I scored but it doesn't matter because we didn't get any points. We did well enough to get out of here with a result. They scored with their only chance in the second half.
"We have a good squad with a lot of quality."
VAR officials explain Shaw/Brady decision
Burnley 0-1 Man Utd
This is the official statement from PGMOL (the refereeing body) on why Luke Shaw was booked and Robbie Brady wasn't sent off...
"In the 27th minute of Burnley vs. Manchester United, Robbie Brady was shown a yellow card for a foul on Edinson Cavani.
"On the recommendation of the VAR, referee Kevin Friend went to the Referee Review Area (RRA) to check for a possible red card for Brady for a denial of a goalscoring opportunity offence and a possible foul by Luke Shaw that was in the same attacking phase of play.
"When the referee was at the screen, he was first shown the challenge by Shaw on Johann Berg Gudmundson. He determined that this was a foul and was part of the phase of play that led to the challenge by Brady.
"The restart was a Burnley free-kick, with Brady’s yellow card rescinded, and a yellow card issued to Shaw."
'We showed brilliant character'
Wolves 1-2 Everton
Everton
Everton matchwinner Michael Keane, speaking to Sky Sports: "I thought we showed brilliant character. We had a few players missing today but showed the strength of the squad.
"We are a massive threat from set plays. It wins us games so it is massive. I thought the lads did really well, everyone worked their socks off."
On why they are so good away from home: "It is mentality. Staying solid and not conceding a lot of goals. Staying in the game and waiting for the opportunity.
"We are nearly halfway through the season now and we have showed the ambition to be up there."
