    Wolves 1-1 Everton

Pedro Netro is back on but for how long I'm not sure. He still looks to be in some discomfort to me.

  2. Postpublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2021

    Wolves 1-1 Everton

Pedro Neto is up but walking in real discomfort and keeps stopping to hold his knee. He keeps trying to run it off, not sure whether he is going to be able to.

Meanwhile, Wolves take their free kick but Leander Dendoncker heads over under pressure from Michael Keane.

  3. Postpublished at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2021

    Burnley 0-0 Man Utd

United patiently work the ball to Bruno Fernandes, who is very ambitious with a long-range strike which hits Ben Mee.

  4. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2021

    Wolves 1-1 Everton

Abdoulaye Doucoure is the first player to go in referee Martin Atkinson's book after catching Pedro Neto. The challenge itself didn't look too strong but Neto is really in some pain. Looks like he may have fallen awkwardly and may have to come off...

  5. Postpublished at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2021

    Burnley 0-0 Man Utd

A draw here would be enough to take United top. They have not topped a table after the new year since the days of Alex Ferguson.

    HT: Burnley 0-0 Man Utd

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

I wonder what Harry Maguire is going to the referee about first. Is it because he was denied a goalscoring opportunity or the fact his left-back got booked or was it what we thought was reasonable shout for a goal being denied?

Lots of talking points in that half but I feel both teams will want to be better in the second but will be pleased that they've kept a clean sheet.

  11. Can I have a word?published at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2021

    Burnley 0-0 Man Utd

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Turf Moor

Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire had a long chat with referee Kevin Friend after the half-time whistle had gone.

United evidently believe a number of decisions have gone against them in that opening period.

  12. Why/how was Shaw booked?published at 21:08 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2021

    Burnley 0-0 Man Utd

For everybody confused about why they were allowed to book Luke Shaw when VAR can't be used to check on bookable offences...

VAR was checking it for a potential red card and in that case they are allowed to decide it merits a booking.

  13. HALF-TIMEpublished at 21:06 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2021

    Burnley 0-0 Man Utd

The half-time whistle goes. A very incident-packed first half - but it's goalless.

Why do the refs need to watch super slow motion replays? If they don't make a decision based on real time replays then their view is warped. The players don't get the luxury of making tackles and decisions in slow motion.

I think VAR has done an excellent job of sitting on the fence at Turf Moor. No reds, no goals. Everyone on the pitch and all to play for. Should be a good game...

    Burnley 0-0 Man Utd

Luke Shaw goes on a Roberto Carlos run and finds Anthony Martial. His shot hits a defender and rolls through to the keeper.

  16. INJURY TIMEpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2021

Four minutes added on for various VAR shenanigans.

  17. Postpublished at 21:02 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2021

    Burnley 0-0 Man Utd

Good save from Nick Pope to deny Anthony Martial. The Frenchman curls an effort towards the top corner from 30 yards out but it's tipped wide.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2021

    Wolves 1-1 Everton

It is the last action of a reasonably entertaining first half.

  19. Postpublished at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2021

    Wolves 1-1 Everton

Yerry Mina heads wide from a corner and that will likely be the last action of a reasonably entertaining first half.

  20. 'Martial can be frustrating'published at 21:00 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2021

    Burnley 0-0 Man Utd

    Leon Osman
Former Everton midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Just starting to see Manchester United get on top of this game.

But Anthony Martial really is marmite isn't he - one game he can light it up and can frustrate the life out of you the next. He's not really got a grip of this game tonight. I just wonder if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could swap Martial and Marcus Rashford round and just give them an opportunity to play on the other side.
