A big talking point as Burnley's Robbie Brady is booked for fouling Edinson Cavani 25 yards from goal.

Was it a professional foul? The referee says not.

Burnley think they should have had a free-kick at the opposite end but ref says no and United counter with a long ball. It catches a defender out and Cavani is trying to run through on goal when Brady catches him.

Corner to Burnley. Paul Pogba heads away Ashley Westwood's corner and then a follow-up cross but neither header is great.

Romain Saiss deflects behind Abdoulaye Doucoure's whipped cross and Everton have their first corner of the game. James Rodriguez takes it but Wolves clear.

Edinson Cavani is not happy.

He was annoyed when he thought he was elbowed in the side of the head by Ben Mee earlier and then got into a row with James Tarkowski.

Referee Kevin Friend just pulled him out for a chat - with Harry Maguire listening in.

I am not sure Cavani speaks much English. Wonder if he knows what calm down means.

It's been end to end at Turf Moor. Anthony Martial runs at Matt Lowton and clips a shot just over the bar from 20 yards.

Edinson Cavani has only had the ball three times. A 100% passing accuracy though (from one pass).

Ruben Neves tries his luck with an audacious effort from 30 yards and the dip is awkward for Jordon Pickford as he fumbles the ball behind for a corner.

The hosts scored from their previous corner but this one comes to nothing.

Edinson Cavani isn't happy with something that happened at that corner. The referee calls Harry Maguire over to have a word but Cavani gestures in frustration to the ref. He's just back from a ban, he'd want to stay cool enough.

It's a nice passing move from Burnley, who have played well. Ashley Barnes lays the ball off for Chris Wood and Eric Bailly bravely throws himself at the shot to block it.

The resulting corner comes to nothing.

Alex Iwobi looks well up for this one. He's making some dangerous runs down the right, the latest of which sees him onto a raking Michael Keane pass before feeding James Rodriguez but the midfielder's hooked ball into the middle of the box is cut out.

Don't often see a goal-kick being retaken. United had two defenders in the box for David de Gea to choose from but I think a Burnley player was in there too.

Another United chance, Bruno Fernandes crosses to Anthony Martial, who gets an inch of room and tries a bicycle kick which hits Matt Lowton's back. Decent technique though.

Alex Iwobi cuts inside, plays a one-two with James Rodriguez before fizzing a low effort straight at Rui Patricio.

At the other end, a decent Leander Dendoncker strike is blocked.

This has been a great watch so far. Both sides going for it.

Burnley don't respect reputations, they don't go in and say well I'm playing against a really good player or sit off and give them respect - they just get in your face, they go toe to toe. They say if you're going to beat us today you're going to beat our challenge, so it makes for a great contest.

Chance for United, their first in fact. Luke Shaw crosses, Anthony Martial leaves and Bruno Fernandes shoots straight at Nick Pope from about 16 yards.

Oooh unconvincing punch by Jordan Pickford as he tries to deal with a deflected Leander Dendoncker shot.

Pickford is much better moments later, however, as he gets down smartly to stop a snapshot by Fabio Silva.
