  3. 'We had desire and passion'published at 22:40 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2021

    FT: Tottenham 1-1 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham boss Scott Parker, speaking to BBC Sport: "I thought we started a very, very well, started quick and got a foothold in the game.

"We were dominant in the second half, the goal was nothing short than what we deserved. It's a good result in the sense of a draw but I thought we did enough tonight to win the game.

"I'm very proud of this team for what we've been through. There's a lot of talk around - everyone assumes about what happened. I know what we've been through the last two weeks.

"We had players out there today who had one day's training. What pleased me most was a desire and a passion and a real quality at times tonight.

"Spurs are always going to have their chances but the last part of the game I thought we had a real control about us.

"There's a real determination and hard work from this group of players. They've never shied away from anything, the players are really engaged and I understanding. This season is going to be full of bumps but we can't be shy of those bumps and we need to just keep moving forward."

On the announcement of the game with Tottenham: "We were told, in the end, at 9:30. It was put to me on Saturday, if there was a possibility, but I just batted it off thinking 'no chance.'

"This game was supposed to be scheduled 16 days ago - for 10 days some of these boys were locked up in their houses. I was surprised but it wasn't in terms of preparing for this game, we've prepared in two days for a game before, it was more just getting told of the consequences that you face."

  4. 'We played for our lives'published at 22:37 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2021

    FT: Tottenham 1-1 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham goalscorer Ivan Cavaleiro, speaking to Amazon Prime: "I think we played very well. Since the beginning, we were sure that we could control the game and we had good chances.

"We reacted very well after their goal and the second half we could turn the game. We played for our lives and fair play to our team because I think in the second half we were better than them.

"Tottenham have a very good team but we have good quality players and our focus was defend as a team and with our quality, it made a difference."

On Ademola Lookman: "After the COVID-19 problems he came on and showed his quality. He helped the team with the assist and boosted his chances with us."

  5. 'We showed our quality in abundance'published at 22:35 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2021

    Tottenham 1-1 Fulham

    Fulham

Fulham boss Scott Parker, speaking to Amazon Prime: "I thought we were outstanding tonight from start to finish, performance wise, with the ball, everything.

"No one really knows what we have been through the last couple of weeks, players out there tonight who have had one day of training, I am proud because of how we played in the circumstances but I am even more proud of them because we showed real quality tonight.

"The second half, the way the game was going I felt the second goal was coming. You have someone on the pitch there like Ademola Lookman who carves chances out of nothing.

"All round I thought our general play tonight was superb. I am very, very pleased.

"In this division for us every game is going to be massive. We showed our quality today and had our identity about us and that is what pleased me the most.

"There is one thing you do need and that is first and foremost is spirit but you also need quality. You need quality to stay in this division and we showed that in abundance tonight."

  6. 'Difficult to speak because of the emotions'published at 22:31 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2021

    Tottenham 1-1 Fulham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, speaking to Amazon Prime: "Very disappointing. I think we have to do better in a couple aspects of the game. It is difficult to speak right now because of the emotions but more bravery and more focus. Executing the chances - I had a chance and had to score. Many details we have to remember.

"I am happy that there is a game in three days again so we can show a reaction and show that we are better than this but I don't want to speak too much.

"We are still very hungry as a team and we will keep going."

  7. 'We conceded a goal that was avoidable'published at 22:28 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2021

    Tottenham 1-1 Fulham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho, speaking to Amazon Prime: "Once more we concede a goal that is completely avoidable. I have to admit in the second half they played more. They were losing and tried but Hugo Lloris did not make a save but we did not kill the game. Again we lose the man in the corner.

"We have lots of opportunities to kill off matches. In other cases especially away we are winning but then don't have that ambition to get the goal and kill the game.

"There are things that are individual. There are things that are individual qualities and individual mistakes. I cannot say much more than that."

Expecting a busy transfer window? "No. I am not expecting."

  8. 'We have to kill the game'published at 22:22 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2021

    FT: Tottenham 1-1 Fulham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho, speaking to BBC Sport: 'In the first half Alphonse Areola made some impossible saves, couple of others in a second, too.

"We have to kill a game and we didn't - but you have to keep a clean sheet, not make mistakes, so it was a very avoidable goal. The markers are there, there wasn't even an advantage in terms of numbers.

"They were intelligent enough to understand the way they play, they change, they become more defensive and they are getting results. I thought they were a bit lucky but they were good.

"We have bad results and we should - and we could have - avoided these results."

Tom McQuillin: Mourinho can go. I’ve had enough. This is now the 7th or 8th game so far in the first half of the season where points have been dropped in exactly the same style. He’s one of the highest paid managers in the league and yet it’s the same thing every single game?!

Scott Parker was not happy this game was scheduled for tonight at short notice, pretty sure he is happy now. That performance from his side will give them real belief they can avoid the drop and will have those above them twitching nervously.

Mike W: After playing good football early in the season Spurs are playing very Mourinho-y recently. Just can't change his ways.

Tom Samuel: What on earth is the point of leaving Dele - who played really well on Sunday - on the bench? We've now brought on Lamela and Vinicius ahead of him but he's our most creative player! Madness.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 85 mins

I've only seen 3 Spurs matches this season: vs Palace, Wolves & Fulham, all identical. Go 1-0 up...sit back...then get a chance to kill the game on the break, miss it...then concede after 75 minutes. Stop parking the bus!
