    Burnley

Burnley defender James Tarkowski: "Disappointed. A softish goal for us and then we didn't really find a chance to put away. No lack of effort just a little lack of quality in the final third. We need to find a goal from somewhere at some point.

"I think the mentality is right, we are taking on games well and defending resiliently for most of the game.

"This is only out second league game of 2021 so not too concerning. We look forward to the game on Thursday and hopefully a positive performance and result."

Couldn't agree more with Keith. Why is Billy G not in the line up? Jorginho brings very little to the team.

What an absolutely stupid and reckless challenge by Robinson, definite red card..

  4. 'A good win against a tough side'published at 18:23 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    FT: West Ham 1-0 Burnley

    West Ham United

West Ham manager David Moyes speaking to BBC's MOTD: "They are a tough side so it was a good win and a good clean sheet.

I was disappointed in our attacking play though and it's something that we'll look at."

On Said Benrahma: "He will need to take time, a player from the Championship will take time in this league but he'll become a very good Premier League player."

On any incomings in January: "If we can strengthen we will, we've tried with two or three but we'll try if we have to. We're aware we can't play Michail Antonio in every game of every minute so we'll probably look to bring someone in."

One for the stats fans out there - Antonee Robinson is the second American to be sent off for Fulham in the PL and first since Carlos Bocanegra vs Villa in Feb 2004.

Nine men behind the ball for the second half?

Antonee Robinson was arguably Fulham's best attacking outlet from wing-back so that's a double blow.

  8. RED CARD - Antonee Robinsonpublished at 18:16 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021
    Breaking

    Fulham 0-0 Chelsea

Well that's a bad minute for Fulham. Missed a sitter, and now down to 10 men.

Antonee Robinson smashes into a tackle on Cesar Azpilicueta and is shown a straight red. I'm not sure how much contact there actually was but it was certainly rash.

He flew in. VAR check it but the red card stands.

  9. CLOSE!published at 42 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Chelsea

Ahhhhh! It's a brilliant move and a horrible finish - Fulham should be ahead.

Ademola Lookman's backheel on halfway releases the galloping Antonee Robinson and he bursts away. He has Ivan Cavaleiro in the middle but instead pulls it back deeper to the arriving Kenny Tete from right-back.

Instead of shooting or taking a touch he lays it off first time to Cavaleiro - a great ball - and the striker duffs it over the top from about seven yards out.

A sitter! I think he actually missed the ball altogether and it hit his standing leg. A mess.

Fulham win a corner, ping it to the edge of the box and it comes back to the right and to Ademola Lookman. He hits a speculative, dipping effort from a mile out which isn't quite as bad as that penalty of his but it's not that much better.

    This is slow going now.

Fulham are winless in 18 Premier League London derbies (W0-D2-L16), since a 2-1 home victory versus West Ham United on New Year's Day 2014 (Scott Parker assisted the winning goal for Dimitar Berbatov).

The last time a team drew six games in a row in the Premier League was Manchester City in 2009, by the way. Post-investment, pre-success.

Alhonse Areola is a busy boy, the Fulham keeper now pushing out a cross into the goalmouth. Could have gone anywhere but a Fulham defender is on hand to clear.

This Chelsea team is a mess. They look like 11 individuals who have no shape, no idea and lacking confidence. Why play Jorginho, what does he offer? He can't run, tackle and his passing is always sidewards or backwards.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 27 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Chelsea

And Chelsea are piling on the pressure now! Antonio Rudiger gets up brilliantly to head a corner towards the far corner, but Alphonse Areola dives full length to his right to push it out.

  16. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 25 mins

    So nearly the opener!

Ben Chilwell's cross is a good one but should be dealt with, but Antonee Robinson makes a real hash of his header and can only nod it straight to Mason Mount.

He's inside the area, maybe 10 yards out on the angle, and lashes a rising shot across goal but agaiunst the crossbar.

A quarter of the game gone and we need a spark. There's another gem of a lay-off from Olivier Giroud, into the run of Hakim Ziyech and he hits a low shot really nicely from 22 yards. Arrowed toward the corner but Alphonse Areola is solid as a rock behind it.

Fulham counter well, and again they get joy down the right of Chelsea's defence. This time it's Ademola Lookman with the pace to get clear, his ball in finds Ivan Cavaleiro but he never really has it under control and the chance gets away from him.

Promising signs for the hosts though.

Has there ever been a more expensive bench than Chelsea's bench ? Lots of man (ego) management needed from Frank. I hope he gets them out of this slump. Chelsea need time, a very precious commodity!

Maybe Fulham will hurt Chelsea. Antonee Robinson coasts past Cesar Azpilicueta down the left, so easily. His cross is cut out but comes back to him and he cracks in a shot which is deflected away.
