Paul Pogba heads on a Bruno Fernandes corner, it's straight at Alisson and never a threat but it's an effort on target I suppose.

Andrew Mitchell: United don’t move the ball quickly, the centre halves aren’t great on the ball, and Liverpool LOVE to press high up the pitch...and yet United continue to play 6 yard passes from goal kicks. Help me make it make sense.

Darren Craig Talbot: Can anyone explain our crazy playing out from the back

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 64 mins

    Liverpool 0-0 Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes has had no influence on the game at all but here he is, in space and in a good spot to wind up. He does, hits a shot well and Alisson has to get behind it as it threatened to swerve away.

Alisson then plays a nervy clearance, Fabinho has to chop down Edinson Cavani and he's booked.

Edinson Cavani will be looking forward to this. Jordan Henderson and Fabinho will have to play as a pair. Will they be able to deal with an out-and-out centre forward?

Mo Salah has been kept quiet for an hour but that's close, Roberto Firmino finds him inside the area and he gets a shot off - blocked wide by Harry Maguire.

    Good defending again.

That's better - Andrew Robertson on the fly down the left, looks up and plays a dream of a cross into the corridor. Roberto Firmino will think he's bound to score but his shot is blocked by the leg of Harry Maguire.

    He howls with frustration.

Paul Walmsley: Please tell me Jota is going to be fit before the end of January. Front three desperately need reinforcements.

It's so stretched. Both sides have so much time on the ball - acres of space. United are committing more players forward, Liverpool are too like they did in the first half.

FPL have had the triple captain feature for 4 seasons - first year I triple captained Harry Kane and he missed one of two games with the flu, sleepwalking through the other - next year it was Shane Duffy so Brighton promptly shipped 7 goals in 1 gameweek - last year it was Aubameyang so of course Arsenals game that week was the first victim of the spring lockdown. All I’m saying is the omens aren’t great for Mo Salah in this game...

    John, Devon

    You triple captained Shane Duffy?!
