    Manchester City 2-0 Aston Villa

Tyrone Mings has reacted to tonight's controversial decision to allow Bernando Silva's goal to stand against Aston Villa.

Here is the rule that allowed City to go a goal up: 'A player in an offisde position, receiving the ball from an opponent who deliberately plays the ball, is NOT to be considered to have gained an advantage.'

  5. 'It is not only about me'published at 22:50 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2021

    Fulham 1-2 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, speaking to BBC Sport: "Was a beautiful one [goal]. When you go with your instinct you don't think and sometimes it goes well and that is what happened today.

"It is my left foot so I tried to look and go for it, not think too much. I saw the goalkeeper and tried to hit it there and it went very well."

Seeing the best of you? "I would say the best of the team, it is not only about me. Playing on the left or the right as long as I play I know I have the confidence of the guys When I am on the pitch I just want to win and I will do my best to win."

"I know they were pushing, they were trying to get the goal and they had a few occasions but we just have to fight to get the win. We defended well."

On title challenge: "Very long way, a lot to do again. We are there but we are not there yet so we have to keep working."

Please Pogba do that every game! If he did he would be a world class player. It is what top class players do, produce brilliant goals when you play badly.

    Aaron, London

Wasn't the best performance! But all that matters is 3 points against an organised Fulham team who have played well recently! Securing draws against Spurs and Liverpool!

  8. 'No doubt we can operate in this division'published at 22:40 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2021

    Fulham 1-2 Man Utd

    Fulham

Fulham boss Scott Parker to MOTD: "I'm really pleased but I'm disappointing at the same time, which shows how far we've come. We've held our own against the top teams in the last few games.

"We caused them a lot of problems but the big moments in the game, we didn't execute them this time. I love the team at the moment and I'm really proud. We've worked tirelessly and we will work hard on the training field to execute those chances and hopefully it will improve.

"[Ademola Lookman] had a lot of time to compose himself and it was a fantastic finish. We lost it on a mistake and a fantastic goal by Paul Pogba. Alphonse Areola has been fantastic all season and he'll be the first to be disappointed. He's made an error today but he'll come back.

"I saw a team today that looked threatening and tried their hardest to get back into but we go again. The next challenge is to maintain where we are and don't let defeat sink us.

"No doubt we can win and operate in this division and we just need to push on and keep improving."

  9. 'We showed our quality today'published at 22:35 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2021

    Fulham 1-2 Man Utd

    Fulham

Fulham boss Scott Parker, speaking to BT Sport: "We came up short in the end but overall I thought we were superb. Big chances are the fine margins of this league.

"I am disappointed because stand here and I feel we should have got something from the game. We showed our real quality today, which is pleasing.

"In the second half we had some big opportunities. I am disappointed and I suppose it shows how far we have come. It is something to keep working on. We are looking more solid as a team.

"The equaliser came out of nothing and someone like Paul Pogba possesses that sort of quality. The resigning factor for me was the big chances that went for us probably needed to go in.

"I think we have played six of the seven best teams in the league recently and we have gone toe to toe. From now on we need to go on and pick up some points."

  10. 'Two extra points for a win are vital'published at 22:29 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2021

    Fulham 1-2 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to MOTD: "Poor start but the goal they scored, we probably need because we started playing then. After we scored it was too long and too direct but second half we played better and got the win.

"We have always said Paul [Pogba] can do everything, he can play wide, play in midfield, create chances and shoot. Today we felt his position was midfield and what a goal with his left foot. He was so committed and got tackles in as well.

"When you win tight games, those two extra points for a win instead of a draw are vital. Let's see where we are at the end.

"We don't think about [being top of the league]. It's just job done and on to the next one."

On Fulham's chance at the end: "Good defending but I didn't really have time to react. It was good blocking and Eric Bailly is in really good form."

  11. 'We are not thinking about the title'published at 22:24 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2021

    Fulham 1-2 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, speaking to BT Sport: "I think we started slow but after their goal I felt we played well. We needed to wake up and after that we played really well.

"We don't do offsides really, we should follow the run. We had not woken up but good reaction.

"Fantastic goal by Paul and we had some other chances to finish the game but of course when it is just one goal and the players they put on it is going to be like heart in your mouth.

"He [Paul Pogba] has really come on. He is fit, he can play in midfield and he can play wide. That is key with Paul, getting him match fit and running fit and he is at the moment. He played very well."

Title challenge? "It is always going to be talked about that when you are halfway through and top of the league but we are not thinking about this, we just have to go one game at a time. It is such an unpredictable season."

  12. 'It was a beautiful goal'published at 22:21 Greenwich Mean Time 20 January 2021

    Fulham 1-2 Man Utd

    Manchester United

Manchester United goalscorer Paul Pogba on BT Sport: "It's a big win because it was a hard game. We knew it would be difficult. They press really well and stay compact. We had to come back and we needed this win and we got it.

"I hit the ball well. I didn't expect it with the left foot like this but if you don't try, then you don't score. It was a beautiful goal and beautiful win. It wasn't my favourite goal ever but it was still beautiful.

"I was really mad after the Liverpool game for not scoring the chance. I maybe should've done better but today it went in. Most important was the win today. We did it the hard way and did it the beautiful way.

"No we didn't know about the Manchester City result, we just knew we had to get our result. I love winning, it's all about winning. I'm happy when we win on the pitch and angry when we lose.

"It's the Premier League so it will be always be hard. We have to do us and that's it."
