Manchester United youngster Teden Mengi is set to join Derby on loan for the remainder of the season.

Rams boss Wayne Rooney has been unable to make new signings due to the protracted nature of an impending takeover.

However, he has now been given the green light to go back to Old Trafford for the highly rated Mengi. The deal is not completed yet but is expected to go through before Monday's 23:00 GMT deadline.

The 18-year-old made his senior debut as a substitute in United’s Europa League last-16 tie with Austrian club LASK in August.

This term he played in three EFL Trophy games but has not made a senior appearance.

West Ham United

West Ham boss David Moyes, speaking to Sky Sports: "Our efforts lately have been terrific but our football wasn't so good today.

"With the quality that Liverpool possess we didn't really give ourselves a chance. There are a lot of positives we can take from how we have played lately but maybe not many from today.

"I felt we didn't keep the ball well enough or use it well enough. We were solid for a period but I was disappointed with the way we gave away the first goal. We're well aware of their counter attacks and we know it is a big part of Liverpool's game."

Asked whether West Ham could make any additional signings before the transfer deadline, Moyes added: "I think we are done unless something changes dramatically."

Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, speaking to MOTD: "We slept one night at home [after Tottenham] and then we came to London. That's two great results.

"It was a great pass by Shaq [for the second goal] but Mo still had some work to do. It was a really smart goal, sensational.

"I'm really happy for Nathaniel Phillips. He had a good game. West Ham get set-pieces and its horrible to defend against. Everyone knows Michail Antonio can jump through the ceiling.

"Our counter pressing was really good."

Brighton are definitely the more adventurous of the two teams, Spurs look lost for ideas. I would not be surprised to see the introduction of Vinicius at the break.

Will Tottenham badly miss Harry Kane? Yes.

Is this when we'll start to see Gareth Bale getting back to his best? No.

Are Brighton better than their position in the table suggests? Absolutely.

Brighton would certainly have wanted a second goal to show for their first-half superiority.

But Graham Potter's side are deservedly ahead at the interval nonetheless!
