Spurs have not offered much going forward, and I for one would like to be a fly on the wall in the Spurs dressing room at half-time

    Brighton 1-0 Tottenham

Brighton are not playing like a side that have won just once in their last 10 league games.

They look comfortable against a Spurs side looking to stay in touch with the top four.

Plenty for Jose Mourinho to ponder.

The danger isn't cleared, as Steven Bergwijn attempts to split the defence, but Brighton look very organised and Lewis Dunk protects the ball before Robert Sanchez gathers.

Spurs simply inviting Brighton to enjoy themselves! Creating nothing and seem to be happy playing around their own half. It's truly awful. Where's the style gone? Brighton cutting through almost at will. I'm at my wits end! COYS

Romantic moves in football don't tend to pay off. Bale isn't half the player he was. He will likely have his moment in the sun - like Henry's goal when he returned to Arsenal - & people proclaim "he's back", but a more sober assessment is that ultimately he may do Spurs more harm than good this season.

    Ah, there it is!

Son Heung-min breaks at pace down the left and passes to Steven Bergwijn, who creates a yard of space on the edge of the penalty area but drags his low shot wide of the target.

That was never troubling Robert Sanchez.

Brighton have been the better team so far. None of the Spurs attackers are making any inroads into the defence, but they may be looking to get Sissoko to help them out high on that wing-back role.

Fantastic team goal that's been coming. A few Spurs defenders tried to cut it out, but Leandro Trossard walked on to it. A really well-worked team goal.

Gross has been playing like a quarterback, he kept his composure and made it easy for Trossard.
