Pretty even, both teams are trying to pass their way through the other. If anything, Brighton are edging it slightly but it's a good game of football so far.

Solly March squeezes in a cross from the left past Moussa Sissoko but Leandro Trossard can't control it and it rolls out for a goal-kick.

Neal Maupay, the only Brighton player to have scored more than two league goals this season, battles well on the left as he attempts to bring his side forward.

The hosts keep the ball in the Spurs half, before Alexis Mac Allister drives a shot over the bar from about 20 yards out.

Tom McQuillin: As a Spurs fan who lives in Brighton this is a fascinating game. Brighton play some lovely football but have been struggling to get results while Spurs play borderline unwatchable football but also have been struggling. Something’s got to change today.

It's going to be brought back though after Hojbjerg was caught late following his attempted pass.

Both teams are comfortable in possession and giving each other respect, sitting back in a defensive shape as the other team tries to build an attack.

Both teams are trying to get the ball down and play, but it's Brighton who are doing better at keeping hold of it at the moment.

Lots of touches at the back for Ben White, Lewis Dunk and Adam Webster in the opening stages.

It's almost a perfect start for Brighton!

Gareth Bale did, of course, score the winner in November as Tottenham beat Brighton 2-1.

Brighton have been playing pretty well but they still haven't won at home in the league this season and, until that changes, they are not going to pull away from the bottom of the table.

I don't see the Seagulls getting three points here, either.

Tottenham have not really hit top gear for a few weeks now but I think they will find a way of winning this one.

Prediction: 0-2

Gareth Bale's inclusion today, alongside Joe Rodon and Ben Davies, means Tottenham are the first side to start three Welsh players in a Premier League game since Swansea v Man City in May 2015.

They're the first non-Welsh club to do so since West Ham against Newcastle in January 2009.

Is this the game that finally sees Gareth Bale announce himself back in the Premier League?

It's just his second league start since his return to the club.

Brighton will certainly be hoping not...

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, speaking to MOTD: "We've had two very good games, two very good performances and two good results.

"The games come quick and fast and we have another big game in midweek. We have to continue this form through to the end of the season. West Ham are a big threat at set-plays and counter-attacks.

"I thought we defended well as a team. I thought Nathaniel Phillips was outstanding but everybody played a part. Overall we're delighted with the performance.

"We know the quality in our squad especially in the final third. Yes, we had a little blip where we didn't score. but we never lost focus. That's football sometimes. We need to keep the consistency and see where it takes us. Hopefully we have one or two players coming back in the next week or so."
