  3. Celtic lead but County still in itpublished at 18:58

    HT: Celtic 1-0 Ross County

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

Celtic have been the more assertive as you’d expect and it would be hard to argue that they don’t deserve to be in front. They’ve not excelled but have been on top.

One moment from Jeremie Frimpong unlocked County’s organisation and the final ball was there allowing David Turnbull a fairly simple finish. Neil Lennon will be looking for more of that kind of creativity.

However, there have been one or two decent opportunities for Ross County. One where Ross Stewart flashed a header well wide and Stephen Kelly fired a decent effort too close to Conor Hazard. The loss of Stewart to injury is a big blow though.

They’re still in the game and have shown they can create chances.

  4. Blunt Steelmenpublished at 40 mins

    Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen

Mark O'Hara's free-kick is straight at Joe Lewis - it's the first real action the Aberdeen goalkeeper has seen so far. Motherwell have played some nice stuff at times, but they're lacking a cutting edge.

  5. goal

GOAL Dundee United 1-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 24 mins

    Marc McNulty

Marc McNulty scores his first goal for Dundee United since returning to the club. He breezes past Kirk Broadfoot and picks his spot from the edge of the box into the bottom corner.

  6. Dundee United 0-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 23 mins

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Tannadice

After a pretty low key opening at Tannadice, there are a few signs Kilmarnock are starting to settle into this one. Chris Burke in particular is now having a real influence on proceedings, causing United all sorts of problems with his excellent deliveries in to the box.

  7. Livi livid over blankpublished at 18:55

    HT: Hamilton Accies 0-0 Livingston

    Jane Lewis
    BBC Sport Scotland

Frustration I would imagine would be the main emotion for the Livingston manager here. It’s been one-way traffic, with Livi completely dominating this match. They’ve created plenty of chances, while the home side have created very little. Their main threat looks to be from set pieces, while Livi look dangerous every time they break forward...which is happening a lot!

  8. Hoban in troublepublished at 33 mins

    Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen

Some concern for Aberdeen as centre-back Tommie Hoban is down getting treatment on his ankle. He did have to go off in the win against Kilmarnock on Sunday. It looks as though he may have to be replaced.

  9. Tannadice comes alivepublished at 18 mins

    Dundee United 0-0 Kilmarnock

Out of nowhere, Dundee United against Kilmarnock comes alive, and Greg Kiltie should really have broken the deadlock.

Marc McNulty first had a chance for Dundee United, cutting onto his left foot, but his shot - although on target - lacked any real punch.

Kilmarnock raced up the pitch and Chris Burke lay the ball on a plate for Kiltie at the near post, but he somehow managed to miss the target.

  10. HALF-TIME Celtic 1-0 Ross Countypublished at 18:48

Celtic have had the lion's share of play and lead thanks to a strike from David Turnbull, with the breakthrough goal set up by Jeremie Frimpong.

County have lost top scorer Ross Stewart to injury, which is the kind of thing that happens when you're stuck at the bottom of the league.

  11. Dundee United 0-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 15 mins

A quarter of an hour gone at Tannadice, no shots at goal from either side.

Kilmarnock haven't scored in six of their last seven games, Dundee United have had four 0-0 draws in the past two months.

We live in hope it will liven up, though...

  12. HALF-TIME Hibernian 1-0 St Mirrenpublished at 18:46 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2020

Kevin Nisbet's excellent curling effort is the difference between the two sides at the break.

Hibs have had the better chances to double their lead too, but when St Mirren do manage to spring an attack, the hosts' defence looks shaky.

You wouldn't write St Mirren off just yet, given that they're unbeaten in their last eleven outings and have won their last two games 3-2.

  13. HALF-TIME St Johnstone 0-2 Rangerspublished at 18:46 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2020

Rangers in control at the break after goals from Kemar Roofe and Glen Kamara. St Johnstone have it all to do but they still 45 minutes to turn things round.

  14. CLOSE!published at 44 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Ross County

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard shows good strength to ride two challenges before sweeping a shot narrowly wide from 22 yards.

  15. HALF-TIME - Hamilton Academical 0-0 Livingstonpublished at 18:44 Greenwich Mean Time 23 December 2020

I tell you what, if Livingston don't win this David Martindale will not be a happy man.

The visitors could be walking in at half-time at least three goals up, they've passed up some glorious chances to take the lead.

Brian Rice's men just haven't showed up so far, but he will take hope in the fact the game is somehow still goalless, and you wouldn't put it past his side to snatch a result in the second half.

  16. Livi still knocking on the door...published at 43 mins

    Hamilton Academical 0-0 Livingston

Another cross causes havoc in the Accies box as Craig Sibbald delivers, but his ball evades everyone in the area before Alan Forrest sees a goal-bound strike well blocked.

  17. Rangers in control in Perthpublished at 18:42

    St Johnstone 0-2 Rangers

Glen Kamara doubled the visitors' lead at McDiarmid Park as Rangers punished the hosts.

  18. CLOSE!published at 42 mins

    Hibernian 1-0 St Mirren

How has that stayed out? Hibernian should be two ahead.

A quick free-kick is played into the electric Martin Boyle. His low cross looks as though it's going to be tapped in by Ryan Porteous, but the defender can't adjust his feet properly and it's blocked on the line.

  19. Keepers kept busypublished at 41 mins

    Celtic 1-0 Ross County

Oli Shaw does well to nod a Keith Watson cross into the path of Sean Kelly, who takes a lovely touch then cracks in a shot from 20 yards. Straight at Conor Hazard though and the Celtic keeper gathers comfortably.

At the other end, Odsonne Edouard drills a shot on the turn from the edge of the box. Another simple save.

  20. GREAT SAVE!published at 21 mins

    Motherwell 0-0 Aberdeen

Johnny Hayes strikes a free-kick goalward and forces Jordan Archer into a decent stop. Hayes was the decoy option from the edge of the box and almost had Motherwell fooled.
