    Celtic 0-0 Ross County

    Martin Dowden
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

Two up front for Celtic tonight with Leigh Griffiths rewarded for his contribution in the Scottish Cup Final victory.

That may ease the burden on Odsonne Edouard slightly, a striker who hasn’t quite hit his previous heights recently. With the deficit at the top of the table significant, Celtic need these two to click.

For Ross County, it’s a return to the scene of their shock League Cup win last month but with a new man in charge. John Hughes will no doubt have them fired up to compete but expect the home side to be out to avenge their recent defeat.

  12. KICK-OFFpublished at 18:00

Four of tonight's Premiership festive crackers get under way, with Motherwell v Aberdeen (18:15) and Dundee United v Kilmarnock (18:30) to follow.

Goals please, and plenty of them!

  13. Lennon looks for strikers to clickpublished at 17:58

    Celtic v Ross County (18:00)

Celtic manager Neil Lennon tells BBC Scotland: "It's a 4-4-2 and we'll probably go with a diamond. We have good balance in midfield. Hopefully, Griffiths and Edouard can get a few combinations going up front.

"Ross County defended brilliantly against us last time, although we didn't work the goalkeeper as well as we could have.

I really like Kemar Roofe - his game intelligence and he can play off the front and he's responded with goals. I think he's a top player and he'll be hard to dislodge from this Rangers side.

"I am not unfit. I am fit - but just not match fit and you can tell. Obviously I have not had a run of games."

Kilmarnock manager Alex Dyer is forced into changes after the 2-0 loss to Aberdeen on Sunday.

Brandon Haunstrup is suspended after being sent off in the 94th minute of that defeat. Aaron McGowan also picked up a first half injury that rules him out, though Stuart Findlay - who was taken off with a shoulder injury - appears to have shrugged it off and starts.

Clevid Dikamona has returned from his suspension and starts, while Nicke Kabamba is also replaced by Greg Kiltie.

  17. Magennis faces former clubpublished at 17:41

    Hibernian v St Mirren (18:00)

Hibernian were left to rue missed chances as Luke Bolton scored a late equaliser for Dundee United at the weekend, but that hasn't stopped head coach Jack Ross keeping faith in the same starting XI that started the game.

Kyle Magennis keeps his place on the left-hand side of midfield after scoring in his first start since October against Micky Mellon's side. Magennis joined the Easter Road side in the summer transfer window from tonight's opponents, leaving St Mirren boss Jim Goodwin disappointed at the loss of his captain.

Meanwhile, St Mirren have been on quite a run of form. Their 3-2 victory at home to St Johnstone on Saturday means they are now unbeaten in their last eleven outings. They've made two changes for tonight's fixture.

Jake Doyle-Hayes misses out due to injury and is replaced by Cammy MacPherson. Brandon Mason comes in for Ilkay Durmus, who drops to the bench.

Hamilton boss Brian Rice has made three changes to the side that defeated Ross County on Saturday.

Scott Martin, Ross Callachan and Nathan Thomas all drop out for Reegan Mimnaugh, Ronan Hughes and Kyle Munro.

As for Livingston, who didn't play at the weekend, their last game was also against Ross County.

However, newly-appointed head coach David Martindale makes just one change to his team who beat County in the League Cup quarter-final last Wednesday.

Marvin Bartley is the man who drops out due a suspension, and he is replaced by Jason Holt.
