HT: Man City 1-0 Sheff Utd

    Rob Green
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Man City are probing, trying to get the Sheffield United defenders to step out of their shape and then they'll attack. To their credit, Sheffield United have only done that once and they were punished for it.

When you go a goal down early at Man City, things don't change too much. You just keep doing the same things, keep concentrating and try to stay in the game. They'll take being one goal down at the break.

Not much to shout about. Big chance for Michy Batshuayi when he lashed it over the bar but both goalkeepers have been relatively quiet.

Worst wba team in my lifetime (33). Sam wasn't the answer but players not up to the task either. I'd rather us play the kids every week. Oh well at least we beat Wolves

    Kyle

How West Brom got promoted I have absolutely no idea.

    Ben, Leicester

Shocking West Brom, making Fulham look like table toppers. There's been absolutely NO improvement under Big Sam. Team are going backwards.

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Ederson walked into the centre-circle at one point as Manchester City were about to take their latest corner.

He was back in his usual starting position about 10 yards outside his penalty area when it was taken.

It's quite cold in Manchester today. Maybe he needed a little stroll to keep warm.

Looks like James McCarthy will carry on until half time. He's not comfortable though. Think it's his hip/groin.

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2021

Manchester City have been excellent to watch and completely dominant... yet only lead 1-0.

  9. Postpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2021

James McCarthy has been having treatment for a few minutes and he might have to come off.

Jairo Riedewald is getting ready to come on. They might not even wait until half time.

West Brom give the ball away inside their own half again but Ademola Lookman can't take advantage as his ball across the edge of the area is cut out.

At the other end, the Baggies finally register an attempt on goal but is a weak effort from Karlan Grant straight at Alphonse Areola.

This might be the worst side West Brom have ever had in the Premier League. And there have been some pretty terrible ones over the last 20 years...

Patrick van Aanholt gets in behind on the left. His cut-back goes through the box but Nathaniel Clyne races onto it.

He hits it first time. It bounces off Conor Coady, falls for Michy Batshuayi and he lashes it over the bar from a few yards out!

Jayden Bogle is having a torrid time on the left-hand side for Sheffield United. He misjudges Kyle Walker's long ball forward and Ferran Torres is in behind him. Luckily for the Blades, his cross is cut out.

West Brom give the ball away with sloppy play from a throw but Fulham can't capitalise as Bobby Decordova-Reid lashes well over from the edge of the area.

Sheffield United's best move of the game but Rhian Brewster hits his effort straight at Ederson.
