    There was an interesting post-script to yesterday's game at Old Trafford.

    Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard was not involved against Liverpool amid rumours he is the subject of interest from a number of Premier League clubs, who would like to sign the former England man on loan for the rest of the season.

    United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed it was something United were looking at.

    "Jesse wants to play football, so we will sit down and make a decision on what we do," he said.

    "He’s been ultimate professional and we are happy to have him around but we will see if anything comes up."
