Everton made an enquiry for Josh King earlier today and I think the preference of the player at the time was just to sit it out and wait until the end of his contract at Bournemouth.
But Fulham have made an offer and I understand that Fulham’s deal is probably around three and a half years in terms of the contract with a release clause in there should they get relegated.
Everton have since come back with an offer and we just have to wait and see where he wants to go, it’s purely up to the player.
Liverpool have signed two defenders today so now's a fairly good time to tell you that Joel Matip will be joining Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez in the crocked WhatsApp group for the rest of the season.

AHHHHHHH. When's lockdown over again?
To go one further, is Kabak the first Premier League player with a palindromic name signed on a palindromic date (1/2/21)?
Phil, Sheffield
Game-changer, Phil. No one is topping that.
Probably the biggest move of the day to be honest:

Away from palindromes for a minute and Steve has his tongue firmly planted in his cheek about Southampton's approach for Takumi Minamino.
Southampton. Always nicking our players.
Steve (Liverpool fan).
West Bromwich Albion have had a decent window but this is all after the horse has bolted. We are not going to stay up, too much to do.

Long gone are the days where someone is scratching around and saying ‘I know, he’s playing really well, he’ll cost a fortune, let’s bring him in’.
I think the scouting network now, the amount of detail they go into is absolutely incredible.
The scouting system is so tight that long gone are the big signings.
It might happen again in the summer but I think with the pandemic this window that's why no one is going to be seeing a couple of hundred million pound players coming in.
The biggest deal of the day so far has been £4m. Two weeks' wages for Messi allegedly.

Some great efforts from you guys out there on this one.
Wolves defender Jonny Castro Otto is a yes as is Liverpool's Sheyi Ojo, as mentioned already.
But we've had several people saying Marcelo Salas for Manchester United - the Red Devils were interested in signing the Chile striker but never did.
Several have pointed out that Ugo Ehiogu is probably the closest to a full name palindrome.
Arsenal
And I don't think it's too unkind to say Arsenal didn't see the best of Shkodran Mustafi. The defender has headed back to Germany.

Tottenham Hotspur
There are some who may think he's better than Hugo Lloris but evidently not Jose Mourinho - Spurs keeper Paulo Gazzaniga has joined La Liga side Elche on loan until the end of the season.
Into the final hour...

German football expert Constantin Eckner on Liverpool target Ozan Kabak: "After he arrived in the Bundesliga in 2019, he quickly became one of the most promising centre-back talents in the league. Sadly for him, he was not always able to show his full potential, as he first was relegated with VfB Stuttgart before joining a dysfunctional Schalke side.
"Still, Kabak impressed many with his defensive skill-set. He has been called the "Turkish Wall" due to his abilities in duels both on the ground and in the air. Meanwhile, his ball-playing talents have not been tested that much because Schalke often avoided any kind of constructive build-up.
"Kabak looks like a competent passer but he might need some time to adapt to Liverpool’s possession-based system. While he is a tremendous talent, Kabak gained a reputation in Germany for being a bit of a hot head.
"He was suspended for four games earlier this season for spitting in the direction of Werder Bremen player Ludwig Augustinsson.
"Given that he is only 20 years old, he will still be growing a lot as a player and as a personality. Despite the hype, coaches, team-mates and fans have to show patience with him."
Well that's a relief isn't it?
Premier League champions Liverpool have signed Turkish defender Ozan Kabak from Schalke.
Liverpool have an option to buy Kabak at the end of the season and will pay a £1m loan fee now with a potential for a £500,000 bonus based on games played and how they fare in the Champions League.
The option for a permanent deal is priced at £18m, plus add-ons, and does not need to be activated until June.
We've got 70 minutes left of the window - hold on to your hats because a signing is on the way.
I wouldn't say a big one, but biggish in context.
Are you ready to see every Premier League deal of the day?

We've had about 243 texts or tweets in five minutes all saying the name Eberechi Eze.
If he searches his own name on Twitter, he's going to be confused.
Any advances?
Worth the move for the shirt alone?
