    Liverpool 0-0 Manchester City

Curtis Jones anticipates well to nip in and win the ball back on the Liverpool right but they end up going backwards. Eventually it's recycled out to Andy Robertson on the left but his cross is claimed by Ederson.

    Liverpool 0-0 Manchester City

Liverpool threaten for the first time as Roberto Firmino almost finds Mo Salah inside the area but it's just about snaffled out. There's an awful lot of neat midfield triangles so far but nothing in the way of incision.

City winning the title this year would be up there with anything the club has achieved. Keeping cool in the midst of the madness.

Chutnez Waloon: another great team selection from Pep, I predict a comfortable 3 or 4 nil to city

Rachel T: Fascinating game for the neutral this one

RSm: How the tables have turned since their last meeting. Liverpool was 1st and Man City 10th in the league. Now Man City is 1st and Liverpool 4th and declining.

    Liverpool 0-0 Manchester City

City with 65% of the ball so far but most of it has been around the centre-circle. Rodri finds Raheem Sterling on the left but Liverpool clear the cross when it comes in.

Rob from Glasgow will be pleased to know that Phil Foden is indeed in the middle of a City front three at the moment, Raheem Sterling on the left.

Thiago helps Ilkay Gundogan to his feet and I think the German is going to be alright. Not the sort of tackle you need when it's minus five.

3 wishes; Foden as false nine, at least 4 goals and no referee/VAR talking points.

    Liverpool 0-0 Manchester City

Not a great challenge from Thiago, right through the back of Ilkay Gundogan, and that's a very early booking for the Liverpool number six.

Gundogan looks in pain as well.

    Liverpool 0-0 Manchester City

City begin with an extended spell of possession which ends with Ederson slapping a crossfield pass straight to Sadio Mane. Luckily for the keeper Mane is crowded out and loses the ball.

Aside from the centre halves this is Liverpool's strongest XI. Hope they can have a right go at Man City regardless of what happens in the title race. YNWA

Wrong team selection by Jurgen today. We miss Henderson in the middle massively! We have 3 centre backs now but he plays Henderson back there again?

    Robbie Savage
Ex-Wales midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

The big problem for Henderson and Fabinho today is they won't have a recognised centre-forward to go up against. When Manchester City play without a recognised forward, the centre-forward drops into a number 10 position and the centre-half is thinking - do I go in there with him or stay in my two? If you go into that position you leave the other centre-half isolated and let Gundogan or Foden go into that area. Do they have a man to mark or will they be isolated?

At times, they won't have anyone to mark.

    FT: Wolves 0-0 Leicester

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers speaking to BBC Sport: "We usually have close games with Wolves, we just won the game 1-0 against them earlier in the season so it's always going to be a tight game.

"We were just missing that final ball, the final finish. You come off the back of a tough week and come here and we didn't manage to make that break through but we came here with a point and take the point away.

"Organisation was good, the players put so much into the game. Wolves showed us respect, playing with a back five when they've been working with a back four recently - they were determined to sit deep and block up space. We didn't quite make the break through but I can't fault the players they gave everything."

On Jamie Vardy starting matches: "He's only had a day and a half training with us really so even though he was available and fit we didn't want to risk it, we'll see about Wednesday hopefully he can get some proper game time in then."

On Wilfred Ndidi return: "He has trained with us this week but we thought it was maybe too much of a risk today but hoping he will be back on Wednesday with us too."

  18. Postpublished at 16:20 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2021

Liverpool v Manchester City (16:30 GMT)

Raheem Sterling is set to start as a central forward for City today - it's a sign of how prolific he has become that his next goal will see him become the third player to reach triple figures under Pep Guardiola, after Lionel Messi (211) and Sergio Agüero (120).

  19. 'It is an obligation to fight'published at 16:18 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2021

    Wolves 0-0 Leicester

    Wolves

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo speaking to BBC Sport: "It was a good game, both teams are very organised. We had good spells in possession and chances to score. Positives from the game. Finding that balance with defending and going to attack. We want the young players to grow and improve."

On injuries to players: "It is a big blow as we are trying to recover players. But we keep on fighting. This is not a positive but an obligation - we have to fight. I must see it every day. Tomorrow we have training and commitment must be the same."

On Jonny going off: "It was something decided already by him and us and the medical staff. He is returning and we have to be very careful. It was decision based on our future and having to preserve the player."

On Fabio Silva's chance, saved by Kasper Schmeichel: "Fabio must do better. He is young and very talented but that moment requires a better finish. Tomorrow we will work on that"
