    Jorginho

No mistake from Jorginho, who strokes in the penalty.

Just 70 seconds between Rudiger's own goal and the foul for the penalty.

What is the decision here? On the field it was no penalty. But has Ramsdale impeded Werner. Contact is undisputed but who clattered into who?

    Sheffield United 1-1 Chelsea

It's all going off! Chelsea are adamant they should have a penalty as Timo Werner latches on to a weak back-pass from Bogle, pokes the ball around Ramsdale and then goes down in the box. We're going to have a monitor check from the on-field ref...

    Antonio Rudiger own goal

    Comedy own goal alert!

Out of nowhere, Sheffield United are gifted a precious leveller. The ball is chipped into the box but looks simple enough for Rudiger to deal with, but with keeper Mendy charging out the German defender inexplicably pokes it past him and into the unguarded net.

  7. Postpublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2021

    Sheffield United 0-1 Chelsea

You can't fault Sheffield United for the effort, but they just aren't hurting Chelsea. Not really laid a glove on them since the opening stages.

  8. Postpublished at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2021

    Sheffield United 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea on the attack, but they don't make as much of the move as they should. Azpilicueta's hesitancy deprives them of the man advantage before Kovacic chips a ball over the top that Giroud can't quite get on to, instead fouling his man.

Neither players looking great to be honest. They're going to try and run it off, though.

This doesn't look good for Reece James. He's gone into a challenge with John Fleck and looks to have jarred his knee.

Oli McBurnie hasn't really been in the game for Sheffield United. Likewise, Oli Burke, barring the first attack of the game.

The Blades only have six players on the bench but three of those are strikers - Billy Sharp, Rhian Brewster and David McGoldrick. The latter has scored against Chelsea before, the first has the experience, the middle one cost a lot. Where does Wilder turn?

  13. Postpublished at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 7 February 2021

Aged 22 years and 28 days, Mason Mount is the second-youngest player to score 10 Premier League goals for Chelsea, after only Arjen Robben (21y 342d).

Good company for the England midfielder.

Chelsea have done okay if they'd gone in at 0-0 you couldn't have complained too much - it's been fairly even. Yes, Chelsea have seen a lot more of the ball, but that was the first time they opened the Sheffield United defence. Slow and steady first half but Chelsea go in 1-0 ahead.

    Sheffield United 0-1 Chelsea

Not a classic half of football, but Chelsea lead through the only move of real quality. Tuchel's revolution trundles on.

Chris Wilder and his lads have a hell of a job on now.

Vectis64: Thank God for Mount. The only player interested in going forward.

John Arundell: Good team goal, when the passing is working well we look good. Mason Mount joins Foden in talented players today.

Sheffield United suddenly don't now what to do, Mateo Kovacic plays the ball to Ben Chilwell and the space opens up for Timo Werner and it's a wonderfully weighted pass by Chilwell. Werner just has to play it first time all the weight is in the pass and he picks up Mason Mount - it's a lovely finish. Lovely move by Chelsea.

This is a massive challenge for Sheffield United now. It's a bad time to concede against a bad opponent to be trailing to. Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea have already shown themselves to be a tough nut to crack.

Great piece of play by Mateo Kovacic, who drove that move down the left. Thomas Tuchel pumped his fists at that goal and is applauding Chelsea's best move so far.
