Think it's fair to say that the Chelsea defence have made a shaky start. Thomas Tuchel has been shaking his head a fair bit already.

The free-kick from that foul should result in more for Chelsea. Mount chips it to the back post and Chilwell is pretty much unmarked. He makes a real mess of his header, though, and the ball bounces harmlessly into Ramsdale's grasp.

Chris Basham has had an eventful few minutes. He goes into the book for stopping Werner getting away down the left.

Matt Dawson: Sheffield Utd have come out absolutely flying, pure attacking intent. The realisation that they need wins has set in after getting a couple of them, and there's a real belief now. Proper determination!

He took his time, Kevin Friend! It was very simple play by Sheffield United. Bryan just puts a long ball to the back of the penalty area and Chris Basham is just half a yard offside, but he brought it down so well.

Chris Wilder will be disappointed, it was really good play by Sheffield United.

So that's two escapes for Chelsea in this game, including the early Oli Burke miss.

They're checking this for an offside against Chris Basham.

He is as well, you know. The decision gets reversed. No penalty.

Chris Basham is hauled to the deck by Ben Chilwell in the box after chesting the ball down. The ref takes a good, long look and then points to the spot.

Norwood chips the free-kick into the box, but Olivier Giroud is there to meet it with a header away. That's another advantage to having the French striker in the side - he's a useful defender at set-pieces.

John Fleck is a busy little lad and he draws a foul near the edge of the Chelsea box. Chance for the home side to deliver.

Timo Werner gets his first sight of the Blades goal as he found with a well-weighted ball over the top. He chips the ball past the onrushing Aaron Ramsdale but not strongly enough to find the net. A covering defender slides in to prevent Mason Mount finishing the move off.

Blades defender Ethan Ampadu is sat a few rows in front of us, left out by Sheffield United because he cannot play against his parent club.

Would have been interesting to see how he would have reacted had Oliver Burke found the target there.

That was almost an electric start.

Chelsea force a couple of corners. The first is sent flying behind again by the first man, the second is headed away well by a United man.

It's too soon to say exactly what we think Chelsea will develop into under Thomas Tuchel - they've started well, not conceded a goal in the three games since he took control. They had a clean sheet against Wolves where they should've won, they had a comfortable win against Burnley and they had what turned out to be a comfortable win over Spurs.

I think this is probably the biggest test for this new look Chelsea team - can they come away to Sheffield United who are fighting for their lives and get a result?

It should be 1-0.

United burst out of the blocks and Oli McBurnie sets up Oli Burke for a clear sight of goal. His shot goes the wrong side of the post, though.

It's a bad miss.

There's just one rule out there today. Keep moving. It is bitterly, horribly cold.

The visitors get us under way.

Marcus: Sheffield United barely score. They spent £23.5m on Brewster yet hardly ever start him. Makes no sense whatsoever. Surely he's got goals in him? Baffling from Wilder again to bench him.
