Everton have often showed an embarrassing lack of self-belief on this long winless sequence at Anfield - too many times looking like a group of players who did not have the conviction they could beat Liverpool on their own territory.

Carlo Ancelotti's side already have a goal and have made a confident start.

Everton midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure is usually a steady presence in the middle of the park but has given possession away cheaply on a number of occasions already.

Can't be doing that against the Reds, out of form or not.
