Liverpool 0-1 Everton
Everton have blown Liverpool away in blustery conditions at Anfield. The Reds are shell-shocked.
Richarlison
What a start!!
The visitors flew out of the traps and get their rewards.
A poor defensive header from Ozan Kabak goes straight to Abdoulaye Doucoure, who moves it on to James Rodriguez.
The Colombian playmaker then has the class to slip a pass through to Richarlison in on goal and the Brazilian makes no mistake with a low finish across Alisson and into the bottom corner.

Rachel: As a complete neutral with none of these players in my Fantasy Football team, I want a complete goal/controversy fest of blood and thunder!
A little bit of everything then...

Everton as a football club has changed since Ancelotti has come in.
They are getting back to where we know Everton can be, which is this huge old football club with so much tradition.
They are finding their way back, he is taking them back to where they need to be. This will be the closest derby we have seen for a long while.

And almost in!
Ben Godfrey sticks out his thigh onto the corner but diverts it just wide of the far post.
A flying start from Everton.

How dearly they have missed him this season.

They've met at more crucial times in more successful seasons, but the 238th coming together of Liverpool and Everton sees both sides desperate for the kind of boost which a derby victory can bring.
Liverpool have won just two of their last 10 league games, and Everton only one of their past six.
Perhaps that urgent need for a lift might be good for the game? When backed into a corner Liverpool and Everton are likely to come out fighting.
It feels that this is more likely to be a passionate scrap - akin to October's 2-2 draw- rather than a sterile exercise in suffocation, such as last season's 0-0 draw at Goodison Park.
Neither Reds nor Blues need reminding that it's more than 21 years since Everton won at Anfield, and 23 meetings in all competitions since Everton beat Liverpool anywhere.
That run must end sometime.

Matthew: In what world has Sam Allardyce done a decent job? West Brom have been terrible since he took over, with only one win and several heavy defeats. There seems to be a completely unjustified aura around Allardyce that he is doing well, when in fact he has been awful.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche to BBC Sport: "We were miles off, miles off. We looked really flat, with no spark, we had no clarity to play. We are stretched to the limit and that has showed today. We do need players to get fit as that was unrecognisable.
"We were better against 11, we had a good chance early on but when they went to 10 we were just making unrecognisable mistakes constantly. We can't let that continue, we have asked a lot of these players, we have had injuries galore and we have had to roll these players out.
"The Premier League have been kind and moved another game for us, they probably didn't have to. It's relentless.
"We have picked up five points this week, the players have put a lot in so we can't change much. We are asking a lot of the group.
"West Brom played well, they worked hard, were frustrating and could have scored on the break. In the end I am pleased with a point."

With [Kyle] Bartley I can’t believe the referee wasn’t asked to look at that on VAR, that is quite troubling.
The first one was definitely a sending off, it was almost like he was playing table tennis - the arm came out instinctively. [Semi] Ajayi had to go and then I don’t understand
“I think they were hoping would be a nice easy game for Mike Dean, but there was lots of controversy and I thought it should have been a penalty."

Alan: As with any Merseyside Derby and despite recent league form, I don’t just hope we’ll win, I want to see us win well, win in style, completely demolish Everton. Not that I’m slightly competitive you’ll understand

Burnley boss Sean Dyche, speaking to Sky Sports: "I am pleased in the end because we were absolutely miles off it. I am not going to be too critical because I'm asking a lot of the players. They looked physically and mentally jaded today.
"We are asking a lot of the players to throw them on the pitch when they have not played a lot of Premier League football.
"We were better against 11. Against 10 we didn't really find the extra man, too many sloppy passes and they could have nicked it. We should on another day when we are a bit more clear minded, we would have looked after ourselves better.
"Over a season's work a clean sheet is a pleasing thing and it is another point on the table. We are not the real deal and we are so stretched so I accept the point.
"We have a little free week so we want to get our players fit and sharp and hopefully we will have a stronger group available."

Everton are unbeaten in seven Premier League away matches (W5, D2) and can equal the club record of eight without defeat, achieved in 2010 and 2016.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin needs one goal to equal the club record of scoring nine away goals in a Premier League season, set by Romelu Lukaku in both 2015-16 and 2016-17.
Burnley 0-0 West Brom
West Bromwich Albion
West Brom boss Sam Allardyce to BBC Sport: "We are bitterly disappointed in the end result, we should have had the three points. We had far greater opportunities to score than them, the goal was the only thing missing. It would have been the perfect performance with 10 men.
"It's only the quality of our finishing - everyone else was great. We went right to the very end but couldn't get that all important winner.
"We are getting better and better, we should have had three points last week as well, but life is much more difficult if you don't score your chances. One more game has gone by and we should have had six points, not two.
"We have lost four massive points to get closer, that's making life difficult as we are not catching up. That gap could get bigger by the end of the weekend, that's the problem.
"Everybody will say with today's rules he's got to send him off. At the end of the day who knows if it was a goalscoring chance 50m from goal? if it's in the box then fair enough but he was 50m out. It was our own fault though, it was such a slooppy pass."
We're hoping that the Merseyside derby is going to be a cracker, but if esports is your thing then we have just the thing for you.
The third leg of European qualifying in the Fifa Global series 2021 is just getting under way. The BBC will be showing both days of the third leg this weekend, and the fourth and fifth qualifying legs in March and April before the play-offs later in the year.
The tournament features some of the best esports teams in the world including Hashtag United, but also teams that are owned by the likes of former Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois, current Arsenal number one Bernd Leno and former Chelsea and Newcastle manager Ruud Gullit has his academy entered too.
Professional clubs such as PSV and Germany's St Pauli are also taking part.
Burnley 0-0 West Brom
West Bromwich Albion
West Brom boss Sam Allardyce, speaking to Sky Sports: "You are playing against the odds and we were comfortable before we went down to 10 men but going down 10 men is usually an uphill battle but we actually started to take more control. Golden chances were created in the second half that unfortunately we did not take.
"The quality of the performance here today shows we have come a long way in a short period of time. The sad thing is it hasn't brought us three points. We have to start doing the final side of performances which is putting the ball in the back of the net and winning games. Our overall performance was absolutely fantastic all of the game.
"I can't praise the lads enough. They were magnificent today. You need a bit of luck to go your way when in this position. There were chances we should have scored but I can't praise the lads enough.
"There was an opportunity to improve the team in the January window and the influx of the players has made us a better team. I have to thank all four of the players for hitting the ground running. They have brought an improvement to the team almost straight away.
"We are looking a much better unit now."
Was it a red card? "With today's bizarre interpretations then absolutely yes."
