  1. Where is the creativity coming from?published at 17:10 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

Leeds v Aston Villa (17:30 GMT)

Villa's solution to the Grealish problem is not to persist with Ross Barkley. He's out of the side. Instead, Dean Smith is looking to Jacob Ramsey, who will form a central midfield three with John McGinn and Marvelous Nakamba. It remains to be seen if this will be with a single or double pivot at the base.

It's also up to Anwar El Ghazi and Bertrand Traore to fire on either wing.

Marcus: West Brom are eight points behind Newcastle; they've played a game more with only 12 to go and have a terrible goal difference. Fortunate win today but they are doomed and were so long ago.

  3. "Lee dealt with it really well'published at 17:04 Greenwich Mean Time 27 February 2021

    West Brom 1-0 Brighton

    West Bromwich Albion

West Brom goalscorer Kyle Bartley on Sky Sports: "It's massive, the position we are in we need to put points on the board. The gaffer stressed it was a six-pointer.

"The gaffer has been giving me a bit of stick, so had my dad, so I thought I would shut them both up and put one in the onion bag today."

On Brighton's disallowed goal: "The ref blew his whistle he said to speak to someone in the wall, there was a bit of pushing. There was a bit of confusion but Lee Mason dealt with it really well and came to the right conclusion. It was a bit confusing, I don't think it would have been right for them to score like that.

"We need to win games, whoever it is, we need to put points on the board."

You may remember what happened last time these two met at Elland Road in a fixture. If not, allow me to remind you...

It was in the Championship in April 2019, with both sides in the play-off mix. Leeds opened the scoring through Mateusz Klich, but only after a Villa player had gone down injured and with the Villa players intimating that the ball should be put out of play. They stopped, Klich did not and scored. Cue chaos.

The upshot was that Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa instructed his players to allow Villa to score (although Pontus Jansson didn't get the full memo). The game ended 1-1.

Villa went up via the play-offs that season. Leeds had to wait another year.

    Cheers Neil.

How on earth did West Brom win that game? Well, the fact Brighton have had 66 shots in their last three games and scored once goes a long way to explaining it.

Anyway, we'll have reaction to that game shortly. To Elland Road for Leeds v Villa...

It is the perfect start to the week for Sam Allardyce's side. When you are talking about must-win games, there aren't many with 12 or 13 games to go but this seemed like one. This run of home games they have got is crucial, it could be a massive three points for them.

Brighton are throwing everything at it and they're playing some nice football - one and two touch, intricate passes.

But you have to give West Brom credit they are defending for their lives. They know the confidence and momentum that this will give them to get them going and get out of that fight.

Mark: I never thought I'd be looking forward to watching a West Brom Vs Brighton game on MoTD. Unbelievable!

The Tweeting Seagull: So frustrating, Brighton could and probably should have had 3 or 4 here, maybe more. The disallowed goal aside, we have no one to blame but ourselves once again. Terrible finishing, terrible defending from set pieces.

Brighton have taken control of this game, but they keep missing the target - two penalty kicks hit the frame both times. They're not asking the goalkeeper to make saves, they're not finding corners.
