  1. United front three 'unpredictable'published at 16:45 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2021

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

It’s very difficult to know how United’s front three are going to line up. They're very unpredictable.

I don’t expect them to hold those positions all game. They’ll probably switch and interchange at some point.

  2. VAR check...published at 16:45 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2021

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

There's a VAR check here for handball. When Edouard Mendy punched the ball, did it touch Callum Hudson-Odoi's hand on the rebound? It definitely touched Mason Greenwood's arm too but did it clip the Chelsea winger's first?

  3. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

Marcus Rashford fizzes in a powerful effort from the free-kick. Shades of Cristiano Ronaldo in the techinique.

It's straight down the middle but swerving so Edouard Mendy doesn't take any chances and punches it away.

  4. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

Bruno Fernandes' shot from range is well blocked by Andreas Christensen.

Scott McTominay then beats Mason Mount to the ball and wins a free-kick just outside the box.

  5. 'Chelsea have started so brightly'published at 16:40 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2021

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Chelsea have really flown out of the traps quickly. They’re pressing really high up the pitch and trying to win balls in and around the United 18-yard box.

    They've started so brightly.

  6. Postpublished at 10 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

Callum Hudson-Odoi puts a dangerous cross in and Olivier Giroud makes the run to the near post.

He's inches away from connecting and it beats Harry Maguire before bouncing off Victor Lindelof.

At the other end, Bruno Fernandes' long ball sets Marcus Rashford away on the right but he can't find Mason Greenwood in the middle.

Hakim Ziyech feeds it through to Mason Mount in the box. He tries to get a shot away but there's three defenders around him.

John Arundell: Fast start by both teams. Going to be a good one.

Abdulmomodu: Only if Manchester United can avoid conceding an early goal as usual, they'll have a chance against this Chelsea back three.

I think Giroud has always been underrated. He's a really good centre forward but lacks a little speed that doesn't help in the modern game.

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

Antonio Rudiger goes charging down the left and puts a low ball into the box. It's away by Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Nice tempo to the game early on!

  10. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

Chelsea win the ball back on the right but Hakim Ziyech smartly slows it down, switches play to the other side and waits for support as the counter-attack wasn't on.

  11. 'Maguire sticking closely to Giroud'published at 16:34 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2021

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Olivier Giroud was very quick to apologise to Harry Maguire. He just came in on his blind spot.

Maguire is sticking closely to Giroud early on. That’s going to be a battle to keep an eye on.

  12. Postpublished at 3 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Man Utd

Mason Mount curls in a nice ball from the left but Luke Shaw gets a decent flick-on which takes it away from Olivier Giroud.

    Corner to Chelsea.

Andrew Mitchell: Respective systems make for an interesting match-up. United usually set up away from home to counter with pace down the flanks. Hudson-Odoi is obviously at his best going forward, and Chilwell hasn’t looked that comfortable as a wing-back. Big game for both of them.

Chelsea likely to have a lot of possession today so United seem set up to counter-attack. James could be the key player for them today.

Harry Maguire comes across to win a header and there's a high boot from Olivier Giroud.

A free-kick is given straight away but Maguire makes a point of showing Giroud the scratch mark on his arm.

  16. 'James has done really well'published at 16:28 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2021

Chelsea v Man Utd (16:30 GMT)

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Dan James was a bit out of the picture at United. He burst onto the scene last season and had a really good run of form last year. Since then he’s fallen off a bit, but he's done really well recently.

He’s obviously blessed with masses of pace, it’s just about that technical ability and having to improve all the time at a club like United. He’s got the nod today, so that’s massive for him.

  17. 'Too many simple mistakes'published at 16:27 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2021

    FT: Tottenham 4-0 Burnley

    Burnley

Burnley boss Sean Dyche, speaking to Sky Sports: "We gave them a helping hand. When they [Tottenham] turn up they make it very difficult for you.

"Sometimes you have to say they were good. We weren't a million miles away from where we want to be but we made too many mistakes.

"I was cross about a couple of things at half-time. Some of our play was decent. We tried to eradicate the simple mistakes we were making. Too many simple things we didn't do well.

"This will get parked and we look to Wednesday to deliver a better performance."

  19. 'This is the best Bale we have seen so far'published at 16:26 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2021

    FT: Tottenham 4-0 Burnley

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "I did enjoy it but the result was the most important thing, we needed points. We've had some positive performances in the Premier League where we played well but didn't come away with points but I think everything went well and went in our direction. 2-0 after ten minutes and then the game is a different game. I liked the team, the seriousness of the performance you could see even in the last few minutes Burnley had a corner and that could mean 4-1 but a clean sheet is good so I'm happy with the performance."

On Gareth Bale: "It's the best Bale that we have had during this season, more confidence, better condition, no bad feelings with injuries. His left foot will always be his left foot but the change of speed and direction and winning duels is not something he was able to do three or four months ago and now he's giving us that. Happy for the team because they need him but also very happy for Gareth because he is a Spurs boy and it means a lot for him to bring happiness to the fans."

On managing Bale's fitness: "He handled himself well, we are all doing that together, him, me and my staff and medical and sport science we're all in it together. We said to him don't let the fatigue arrive so you have to go off before the fatigue comes and we did that so of course we are managing him. We left him on the bench in the Europa League thinking that today he could be important and can't play two matches in a short space of time. His experience helps a lot."

On how Spurs could finish the season: "We have to keep going we are in the last-16 of the Europa League and we look forward to trying to be in the next draw so we need to get through Dinamo Zagreb and in the Premier League we have lots of matches still to play for plus the final [Carabao Cup]. We have to go until the end and let's see - I am especially pleased because we have no injuries - even Giovani Lo Celso will be back not against Fulham but maybe for Palace and that's important because we will have a crazy run of matches so we have everyone back in the squad."
