We're trying to look at the relationships up front. What the link up play is like between Sancho, Grealish and Calvert-Lewin. There might be a spell where Harry Kane doesn't play, you just don't know.

The big one is this one between Ben White and Tyrone Mings. If Harry Maguire isn't fit, who is going to be the other player to play alongside John Stones? Who is the other player to fit in that system?

It's a good start from Romania but England are just now getting a foothold in the game. That relationship that we've seen so often this season with Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford down the left for Manchester United, I'm sure that's going to play a big part for England.

There was a very, very mixed reaction to England's players taking the knee before kick-off here inside The Riverside Stadium. Loud and prolonged jeering mixed with plenty of applause.

The boos came and then it was overcrowded by the claps and rightly so. I agree with Gareth. He's trying to do what's right for the players and spoke excellently about it this week and we heard from the fans there that the majority of fans agree with what the players are doing.

A mistake from Tyrone Mings early on allows Romania to knock in the first corner of the game and Denis Alicec almost converts a low cross at the near post.

Not the best of starts from the hosts.
