Jurgen Klopp reacts to Liverpool's slump by making SEVEN changes to the side that started the 1-0 loss to Chelsea on Thursday - the club's fifth successive home defeat.

Diogo Jota starts on the Premier League stage for the first time since 28 November but Sadio Mane is dropped to the bench and there is no Roberto Firmino in the 20.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Thiago and Fabinho also drop to the bench as James Milner returns to captain the side. There are recalls too for Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri, Rhys Williams, Neco Williams and Nathaniel Phillips.

Defender Ozan Kabak misses out through injury while Mohamed Salah starts despite being subbed off against Chelsea.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Antonee Robinson make way for Kenny Tete and Bobby Decordova-Reid.

I am at this game for BBC Radio 5 Live and, in normal circumstances, I would be saying this will be a routine home win for Liverpool.

Nothing feels routine for Liverpool at Anfield at the moment though with the run they are on - Thursday's defeat by Chelsea was their fifth in a row at home in the league.

Having Fabinho fit again at centre-back will obviously help the Reds in defence, but the key to the outcome of this one is going to be what they are like going forward, because scoring goals has become one of their biggest issues.

As Fulham have shown us on plenty of occasions in the past few weeks, they won't be a pushover. They won't lack belief, either, after going within a few minutes of beating Liverpool at Craven Cottage in December.

Prediction: 2-0

The games do come up thick and fast today, with just over an hour until Liverpool versus Fulham.

We'll have the team news in the next 10 minutes.

Decent half, but a draw probably won't be much good for either side. Expect them to go for it in the second half.

Into stoppage time at the end of the first half. Goalless but not dull, I'd say. Both sides are looking for the three points.

Matheus Pereira attempts to flick the ball beyond Jamaal Lascelles inside the box, doesn't quite succeed but does win his side a corner. Conor Gallagher whips the ball in but Martin Dubravka punches clear.

West Brom are finishing the half strongly as Matt Phillips flashes an effort across the face of goal and just wide of the far post.

Good header by Mbaye Diagne, who gets up to meet Conor Townsend's ball into the box and directs an effort towards the bottom corner but Martin Dubravka just manages to turn it behind.

West Brom are passing the ball around well inside the Newcastle half but the visitors are keeping their shape well to limit options and then mopping up the balls into the box.

Matt Phillips drives into space inside the Newcastle half and decides to let fly with an ambitious effort from 30 yards. The shot is low and has power but Martin Dubravka has it covered.

Joe Willock is caught by Kyle Bartley and Newcastle have a free kick midway inside the West Brom half. The ball is played short by Jonjo Shelvey to Ryan Fraser, whose cross is cleared.

A corner set play almost comes off for Newcastle as the ball is played low into the box for Jonjo Shelvey, who runs into space before driving a low effort towards the near post that Sam Johnstone scrambles clear. He saw that late, important save.

Darnell Furlong sends a long throw into the Newcastle box and it causes chaos as Kyle Bartley flicks it on but Mbaye Diagne fires over from close range under pressure.

Joelinton has had a good start to this game and is certainly causing problems to the West Brom backline when Newcastle decide to go long.
