Declan Rice came in strong on Scott McTominay and came out second best. He is running a bit freer but happening so early in the game he could stiffen up.

It looks like Vladimir Coufal and Ben Johnson are operating as wing-backs for West Ham, to support three in defence and three in midfield, with Jarrod Bowen pushing forward to support Michail Antonio.

It means quite a bit of work for Fred and Scott McTominay in the United midfield.

Michail Antonio is proving a nuisance early-on.

He's getting the better of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof on the left. He tries to cut it back inside this time but it's blocked.

It's been a real positive start from West Ham, trying to keep the pressure on Manchester United and keep control early in the game.

    Man Utd 0-0 West Ham

Craig Dawson and Tomas Soucek both go up for the corner but Aaron Wan-Bissaka slips at the back post and after it flies over both the West Ham players' heads, Mason Greenwood, Dawson and Soucek all fall over Wan-Bissaka.

At the other end, Luke Shaw plays a one-two to get in behind on the left but Greenwood's first-time flick is blocked by Dawson before Lukasz Fabianski dives on it.

  7. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Man Utd 0-0 West Ham

Man Utd try to play their way out from the back but they are penned in the corner. Michail Antonio then does well to keep the ball in play on the byline and wins a corner off Victor Lindelof.

Manchester United managers present and past were meeting as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and David Moyes just had a friendly chat in front of the dug-outs.

What a night this would be for Moyes to get his first Old Trafford win as an opposition manager.

Anyone else disappointed to see Mark Noble and Declan Rice starting together? Its a bit negative from David Moyes. I'd have liked to see West Ham go for it but can't see us getting anything from this game now.

  15. 'The referee made a wrong decision'published at 19:07 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    FT: Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho to BBC Sport: "First half we were poor, 1-1 is not a reflection of what happened on the pitch. They were more intense, aggressive, moving the ball better than us.

"I don’t want to speak about commitment, it was the same from both teams but they were much better in the first half.

"In the second half we recovered control of the game. In our good moments we made changes to try to win the game and when the game was there to be played, the referee made a wrong decision, the VAR confirmed the wrong decision from the referee.

"And then 2-1 it was time for the team to step up and show a good reaction to get an equaliser, but I cannot say much more than this."

On Lamela’s goal: "The goal was sensational no doubt. But the most important thing is the result and we lost the game.

"Trying to be honest and pragmatic: the first half was their half. The second half: Michael Oliver and Paul Tierney, the VAR. They decided the game."

On the team's reaction after Lamela's red card: "It was a great reaction, the team they had a go no problem and that makes me happy. They didn't accept the result as done and went to the last second."

  16. 'Hammers pose different threat'published at 19:05 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

Man Utd v West Ham (19:15 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

Manchester United's win at Manchester City was a great result, and they got it with their best performance of the season.

West Ham will bring a different sort of problem for United, though, and it is one that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have not always solved this term.

Rather than going at them, like City did, the Hammers will sit in and United will have to take the game to them.

The Hammers carry plenty of attacking threat too, though, and both sides will be full of confidence.

It could be very close, but I'm expecting it to be much livelier than when West Ham came to Old Trafford in the FA Cup last month.

    Prediction: 2-1

  18. 'Maybe referees get tired too?'published at 19:01 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    FT: Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho, speaking to Sky Sports: "No post-match interviews for referees? That is a pity.

"We played really bad in the first half. The 1-1 was not a fair reflection of the first half. We were poor. Defending bad. No intensity or pressing. Some important players hiding. Really bad. In the second half we only had space to improve which we did and then it is a question - but an impossible one as they don't speak - for the referee Michael Oliver to answer. Probably Paul Tierney too as he was the VAR. According to Kevin Friend, the referee told him he had a clear decision and the VAR does not want to go against.

"The game was under control in the second half so we recovered. We made changes to try and win and then it is a penalty and after that a second yellow for Lamela. It mean the last 20 minutes 11 v 10 the team try to get the result.

"What I see from the bench is just a feeling at first. I am 40-50 metres away. I saw it on the iPad. Referees have a difficult job sometimes. I did not complain but when I watch back on the iPad it is what it is. If somebody has a different opinion it has to be one of the big Arsenal fans with a season ticket. It is the only one I accept as it is the passion speaking. Other than that I don't accept a different view as it is obvious.

"If the players don't do better it is because they can't do better. I belong to the team so I am as guilty for the first half as the players but the best thing is we improve in the second half. Players get tired, coaches get tired, maybe referees get tired too. My record with Michael Oliver on penalties with Chelsea, United and Tottenham is unlucky."

  19. 'I love the reaction of the team'published at 19:00 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    FT: Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

    Arsenal

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to BBC Sport: "We had a really strong performance right from the beginning, we created many chances and went a goal down with their first shot.

"But I love the reaction of the team, we stayed composed and in the end we won the game.

"Scoring before half-time was really important as it put us in a good position for the second half

"We scored the second goal, we got a bit nervy in the final 10 minutes and that is one of the things we need to improve as a team."

What the win means to the fans: "If they are smiling and have some joy and happiness it is one of of the most fulfilling things as a manager to represent this club."

On Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: "As I said before the game, I draw the line, it's done, we move on and enjoy this victory."

  20. De Gea returns to training with Man Utd tomorrowpublished at 19:00 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

Man Utd v West Ham (19:15 GMT)

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has just confirmed to MUTV that David de Gea completes his isolation period today and is expected to return to training tomorrow.

De Gea was allowed to return to Spain for the birth of his first child.

This is Dean Henderson's fourth successive game but it will be interesting to see what Solskjaer does in terms of team selection for Thursday's Europa League return with AC Milan and Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final at Leicester.
