Leeds are looking to break into the top 10 again (at least until tomorrow).

Sheffield United will hope to avoid three successive defeats.

Chelsea

Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic, speaking to BT Sport: "It was a tough first half for us. We made some simple mistakes we don't normally make. The red card changes everything. To give them credit they played their attacks really well. It's no time to panic. We've been in good form and lost one game. We need to be ready for midweek."

West Bromwich Albion

West Brom boss Sam Allardyce, speaking to BT Sport: "We're really pleased and satisfied how the players applied our tactics and how we set out to control Chelsea's attacks. I have to say because we ended up so good in possession and the quality of finishing, it gave us a thoroughly deserved victory.

"People will always look to fact they went down to 10 men. But I thought we started the game brightly and created chances. I thought Thiago Silva was lucky to stay on after the first foul.

"Our goals were all quality goals - not just the finishing but the build ups. It's just a a bit of a shame we didn't show that quality in some others games. But this still gives us a bit of hope. We've got a bit of a long wait until next game with Southampton a week on Monday."

West Brom manager Sam Allardyce to MOTD: "We won't be on last today will we!

"I am delighted. Not only with the win but the style, it has been coming for a while but our lack of finishing has cost us. What we saw today is what we have been missing. The quality of our goals and our football brought us a fantastic result. We were desperate for it.

"They went down to 10 men, deservedly so. Thiago Silva could have gone for his first foul. But on many occasions I have got a result with 10 men but we took Chelsea apart.

"We started really well, we pressed and didn't sit back. I had three weeks to think about this game and sort the tactics. We said let's go, let's go challenge them and it worked extremely well.

"For me, I would have liked to see Matheus Pereira get his hat-trick but that's being greedy I suppose. We need a few injured players to recover."

Enda Stevens is making his 150th league appearance for Sheffield United today. He has started all of them too.

David McGoldrick is also picking up his 100th league appearance.

Leeds' players are wearing t-shirts in the warm-up as a tribute to club legend Peter Lorimer.

They will also wear black armbands during the game to mark the anniversary of the tragic deaths of two fans - Chris Loftus and Kevin Speight - who died in Istanbul on 5 April, 2000.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, speaking to BT Sport: "There was nothing so much until the red card came. After that we were unable to cope with the situation. I don't know why.

"We gave away two very easy goals. What could go wrong went wrong after the red card. We have to accept the big loss. We did big mistakes before the two yellow cards. There were too many easy ball losses. It was impossible for us to accept the situation.

"Every shot was a goal from them. Clearly it was not our day today. We will get the right response. First of all it's important we digest it. I did not see it coming, now we have to take our responsibilities - me included - and shake it off."

Chelsea

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel to BBC Sport: "It is two games, 11 v 11 and then 11 v 10. There is no need to concede five goals when you have our quality, that's for sure but we are all in on that. Myself included.

"We could not adapt to the situation which is a surprise as we were leading. We are normally confident enough to defend but we were sloppy and kept making big mistakes. We were punished hard and it's tough to digest.

"I didn't see the red card, I saw the two big mistakes in our own half before the yellow cards. That is not typical for us, we were rusty. We made easy mistakes and were punished. It was totally our fault.

"I did not see that second half coming. We tried to give a bit of security with a back three but we were never in a flow. We had some chances but we didn't defend well."

Leeds are aiming to complete a first league double over their Yorkshire rivals since 1991-92.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United could beat Leeds in three successive league meetings at Elland Road for the first time.

The Blades have won on just one of their past 15 top-flight visits to Leeds (D4, L10) though.

Each of the past three league encounters has ended in a 1-0 away victory.

I think West Brom have played really well. Chelsea going down to 10 men did change the game, Chelsea were dominating the territory and possession before that.

After the red card, West Brom came into it, they kept the ball really well, they stretched the play really well in behind. Some of the goals they scored were brilliant.

I think questions need to be asked about what Thomas Tuchel did in the second half – I don’t think it quite worked the way he tried to restructure them.

The wing-backs, for me, played too high too quickly and they left too many spaces down the sides of the three centre-backs.

Current Sheffield United caretaker manager Paul Heckingbottom was in charge of Leeds for 16 games in 2018 before being replaced by Marcelo Bielsa.

His first competitive match in charge of the Whites was a 2-1 Championship defeat at, yep you guessed it, Sheffield United.

West Bromwich Albion

West Brom's goalscoring substitute Callum Robinson, speaking to BT Sport: "It's an unbelievable day. It's been a tough season but it's nice to come here and get so many goals and really enjoy it. It's a good day all round.

"Hopefully I've managed to stake a claim for a place in the team. It's been hard for me. I went away for the international break and enjoyed my time. When the boss gave me some minutes I wanted to prove to him I should be in team."

Sheffield United were extremely competitive in their last game, against Chelsea in the FA Cup sixth-round, but they still lost.

That has been the story of the Blades' season, really, and the only thing still in doubt is when their relegation will be confirmed.

Leeds edged it 1-0 with an 86th-minute winner when these two sides met at Bramall Lane at the start of the season. I'm expecting them to find things a bit easier this time.

Prediction: 3-0
