The calibre of goals we scored tonight was excellent. From Kieran Tierney bombing forward to Che Adams' little flick out his feet and bullet finish. Then Andy Robertson's cross for Ryan Fraser was brilliant too.

  2. 'I couldn't help myself' - Tierneypublished at 21:52

    FT: Scotland 4-0 Faroe Islands

Typically unassuming Scotland defender Kieran Tierney described his performance as "no bad" after providing three assists.

He tells Sky Sports: "It's a good result, we needed that tonight.

"I just tried my best as always. I had more time to get forward and I enjoyed it. Everyone knows I like being high and wide and putting crosses in and tonight i did a bit of that.

Defensively, it wasn't that great [from Scotland] but going forward we were excellent. That's not going to happen against better opposition but it's nice to see Scotland open up and go for it.

    Quote Message

It's a great way to end the three games. Based on the 90 minutes it is a huge plus for Scotland, particularly the clean sheet. More points from the triple-header may have been better but as Steve Clarke says, we can't look into the future.

It's been a good performance both individually and as a team. There are clear reasons for the optimism that Steve Clarke said was in the camp, to continue. Results elsewhere might give him a boost too.

The ball is right on top of Craig Gordon and I think it maybe took him a bit by surprise. Gordon ends up doing well to get a hand to it and tip it over the bar.

  17. GREAT SAVE!published at 84 mins

    Scotland 4-0 Faroe Islands

Craig Gordon is determined to keep a clean sheet tonight. The Scotland keeper is at full stretch to tip a Johannesen header over the bar.

The visitors can't profit from the corner and their endeavours might not yield a goal that their play probably merits.

  19. Any more for any more?published at 81 mins

    Scotland 4-0 Faroe Islands

The flurry of substitutions has knocked some of Scotland's momentum and it remains to be seen whether they add to their four goals.

With a little under 10 minutes remaining, it's been a good night's work for Steve Clarke's side, with some sparkling displays.

Kieran Tierney, who you'd imagine will be man of the match, is replaced by Scott McKenna.

    Liam Palmer replaces Ryan Fraser.
