Villa tonight, a Wembley final against Spurs at the weekend and then off to France to play PSG in a Champions League semi-final. A huge few days coming up which could shape their campaign.

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith on the European Super League, speaking to Sky Sports: "I'm very pleased [it's not happening]. It's been a very strange 48-72 hours. I think it has brought a lot of emotion from football people. Hopefully we're back to normality now."

Manchester City need a maximum of four wins from their final six games to secure their third Premier League title in four seasons, and Lawro thinks they will get one of them tonight.

He's going for a 3-0 City victory while Soccer AM legend Tubes feels it will be a bit closer, but still backs Pep Guardiola's side to win 2-1. "City have had the title wrapped up for a while now," Tubes added.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham forward Gareth Bale, speaking to Sky Sports: "Southampton came at us and pushed hard first half, we've only had a couple of days with the new manager to try and do some things so it's going to take some time. But we had a good chat at half time about what we could improve and we did that second half and controlled the game and deserved the victory."

What needs improving: "Just to be patient, positional issues as a team we've only had a couple of days to work on that so just minor teething issues. We'll continue to improve for the cup final at the weekend."

How important to score: "It's important for me but more so for the team and club and fans it's not about me. Everyone talks about me a lot but it really isn't about me, I don't care about me I care about trying to help Spurs and it was important to get the victory we still have a chance for top four so we will fight to the end for that.

"We need to be on the front foot a bit more, we're a big team with great players and we need to attack more and stay higher up the pitch more."

On European Super League: "Us as players all we have been focussing on is trying to get the new manager to settle in, the matter's closed as far as I'm concerned - it's not happening so we're all good we can carry on as normal."

Aston Villa

Remember Villa escaping relegation on the final day of last season?

Eight matches from the end of this one, they still have an outside chance of qualifying for Europe. If this season's FA Cup winners finish in the top five, a Europa League group stage place goes to the next highest ranked team not qualified for Europe.

FA Cup finalists Chelsea and Leicester are currently fourth and third respectively.

Villa are nine points off sixth spot with games in hand.

Nearest challengers Manchester United can reach 84 points but only if they win all their remaining games. City need 11 points to make absolutely sure. Their remaining games after this include Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Brighton all away.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to Sky Sports: "I spoke yesterday about these issues so we're going to focus on the game.

"They communicated to us in the afternoon. Like I said, we spoke yesterday about that so now the game.

"It's 38 fixtures in the league. Sometimes you are up and sometimes down. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.

"I'm absolutely not thinking about the Carabao Cup. The Premier League is the most important competition - the most important by far.

"Tomorrow we think about the Carabao Cup. In the Premier League we still need points."
