The attempt by Wycombe Wanderers to pull of the Great Escape from relegation is almost over.

Although their form has improved of late, losing one of their past five games, the Chairboys have had too much to do to get out of trouble.

Conceding three times in the last 10 minutes against Luton and then twice at Swansea on Saturday has seen Gareth Ainsworth's men secure one point from a possible six.

Starting the day nine points from safety, if they lose tonight they'll be as good as down, only able to stay up on goal difference if other results go their way.

Wanderers host a Bristol City side at a low ebb - the Robins are six without a win and have scored just twice in that run.

So it's half-time in two Championship games, and two more are about to kick off...

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:50 British Summer Time 21 April 2021

    Rotherham 1-1 Middlesbrough

A goal apiece, a red card, an injury and plenty of nervy moments have made for a frantic, incident-packed 45 minutes of tension.

Rotherham got the lead inside three minutes and you felt it was a case of how many.

Then Matt Crooks was dismissed and Grant Hall went off for the home side but the tide turned completely.

Boro levelled through George Saville and then slugged the Millers repeatedly with attacks.

Somehow they made it through to half-time further unscathed, but the second half needs to be much better from the hosts. Same again the call no doubt, from Neil Warnock.

    Rotherham 1-1 Middlesbrough

Pot shot from Kieran Sadlier for Rotherham soars over the top. Might be it for the half.

  5. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:49 British Summer Time 21 April 2021

    Millwall 0-3 Bournemouth

Bournemouth celebrate goalImage source, Rex Features

Goals from Philip Billing, Arnaut Danjuma and David Brooks have Bournemouth on course for a seventh successive Championship win.

Hold on and the Cherries will go third in the table.

    Rotherham 1-1 Middlesbrough

    Five minutes added time.

Still the visitors prompt and press.

Yannick Bolaise takes a lovely pass into the box and helps it across goal and Wes Harding puts it behind for a Boro corner.

There's more sharp intake of breath but Connor Malley's back-post header goes behind for a goal-kick.

  7. goal

GOAL: Millwall 0-3 Bournemouthpublished at 18:45 British Summer Time 21 April 2021

    David Brooks (44 mins)

Bournemouth have another before the break as David Brooks gets in on the act.

Dominic Solanke is the architect again as he finds the Welsh forward.

Brooks cuts inside and beats his man before finishing neatly.

The Cherries are heading up to third. Are they favourites for the play-offs now?

  8. Postpublished at 18:45 British Summer Time 21 April 2021

    Rotherham 1-1 Middlesbrough

Watching Rotherham is like watching a boxer pinned on the ropes and praying for the bell.

    They need a reset.

Middlesbrough's young substitute Connor Malley has the bit between his teeth and is causing problems with his movement and trickery.

Little bit of confidence too as he zips a low shot which forces a diving save from Viktor Johansson.

  9. Postpublished at 18:43 British Summer Time 21 April 2021

    Millwall 0-2 Bournemouth

The visitors are forced into a change before half-time, as Diego Rico replaces injured left-back Lloyd Kelly.

The Cherries are still firmly on top with under five minutes to the break. Millwall haven't had an effort on target this evening.

    Rotherham 1-1 Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough are like jackals, smelling fear from the Rotherham defence and picking away at their fragile confidence.

More pressure on the penalty area sees Michael Smith back to help out but it's so much panic stations.

Connor Malley can play the ball off a home defender for another set-piece.

    Rotherham 1-1 Middlesbrough

Boro hit the barImage source, Rex Features

Goodness me. Rotherham look so rattled and tense when Boro get to the edge of the box and cannot clear.

Jonny Howson snaps up a loose ball on the edge of the box and sizzles one off the right boot slap on to the crossbar.

Yannick Bolasie can only guide the looping ball onto the bar and roof of the net.

    Rotherham are on the rack.

    Rotherham 1-1 Middlesbrough

Wes Harding sweeps a ball to the edge of the Middlesbrough box and Paddy McNair tumbles under a clumsy challenge by Michael Smith.

Not a lot of cuteness or subtlety there from the big man. Wasted opportunity.

  13. goal

GOAL: Rotherham 1-1 Middlesbroughpublished at 18:33 British Summer Time 21 April 2021

    George Saville (33 mins)

The pressure tells as Middlesbrough keep bashing away and after a string of corners, George Saville thrashes into the roof of the net to level.

It came from Neeskens Kebano's trickery, dancing to the byline where a sharp cut-back was lashed on his left foot by Saville curling into the near-post roof of the net.

Terrific connection by the Northern Ireland man. All square.

    How do Rotherham take that?

  14. Postpublished at 18:31 British Summer Time 21 April 2021

    Rotherham 1-0 Middlesbrough

After a frenetic 10 or 15 minute spell in which both sides exchanged chances at will, Grant Hall went off injured and Matt Crooks was sent-off, it's slightly calmed down.

Rotherham survived some threatening Boro raids, and have regained some control in midfield.

Just as I typed that, one direct surge through the middle was taken through the heart of the Rotherham defence and Yannick Bolasie gets to the edge of the box before slashing over the top.

  15. goal

GOAL: Millwall 0-2 Bournemouthpublished at 18:29 British Summer Time 21 April 2021

    Arnaut Danjuma (27 mins)

Bournemouth are in complete control at The Den and have their second.

It's no surprise that it's Arnaut Danjuma, another man who has been crucial in the Cherries' rise into the play-offs.

Keeper Asmir Begovic launches a long ball downfield which Danjuma latches onto before clipping it over Lions keeper Bartosz Bialkowski.

Bournemouth are well on their way to three points and third place in the table.

    Rotherham 1-0 Middlesbrough

Rotherham gallop down the left through Kieran Sadlier and Freddie Ladapo is all on his own in the middle but the cross is overhit and out for a throw.

Jonny Howson is a makeshift centre-half and it told there positionally. He was nowhere near Ladapo who had drifted away dangerously.

Gregory P: Boro’s lineup is a mockery for other teams in the relegation fight. They are basically rolling over and giving Rotherham the three points.

They've named a youthful bench, but their starting line-up still includes a huge amount of experience.

  18. Postpublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 21 April 2021

    Millwall 0-1 Bournemouth

Bournemouth come close to doubling their lead from a free-kick floated in by Arnaut Danjuma, but Lions keeper Bartosz Bialkowski makes a good save to keep out Steve Cook's header from close range.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 18:23 British Summer Time 21 April 2021

    Rotherham 1-0 Middlesbrough

Centre-half Grant Hall is having to come off for Middlesbrough, after he took a really heavy whack in the face.

Whether it was with the elbow, as Darren Bond felt, or more of a head knock which is how the replay looked, it's bad for Hall.

He's being led away with a cut, and very woozy.

Boro are bringing on Connor Malley.

  20. RED CARDpublished at 18:20 British Summer Time 21 April 2021

    Rotherham 1-0 Middlesbrough

Could this game get any more incident-packed?

Matt Crooks is sent off for Rotherham, for leading with the elbow on Grant Hall.

Wasn't actually looking at Hall, had only eyes on the ball. But he's gone.

    Rotherham down to 10.
