Danny Welbeck cuts it back from the left, it's behind Neal Maupay but Leandro Trossard is unmarked as it comes through to him in the box.
He is a few yards out and has the whole goal to aim for but slices it way over. Oh dear...

Leeds have got Brighton pinned in their 18-yard box but there are a lot of big defenders in there for the home team.
Bielsa's side are playing short to change the angle and trying to overload at the back post but it's good defending at the moment from Brighton.

He appeals for handball - off Dan Burn it seems - but nothing given.

Leandro Trossard isn't too far away from getting a touch on this... The cross is deflected from the right and it bounces up just in front of the near post. Trossard makes the run on his own but he can't quite reach it before Illan Meslier gathers it in.

It’s been a good game so far.
Quite frantic, quick passing and not really a dull moment.
There haven’t been masses of chances but it’s been pinging round the middle of the park and neither side is getting much time on the ball.

Jack Harrison curls a dangerous ball in from the left. Dan Burn gets his head on it but it ricochets off Joel Veltman and Burn has to react sharply to claw it off the goalline while he was unbalanced.

It all came from a shocking delivery from Pascal Gross. But the ball wriggles through to Danny Welbeck. Ezgjan Alioski is lying on the floor and it's a clumsy challenge.
Welbeck's legs gets tangled and he goes down. Think it's probably the right decision.
Then, when you hit the penalty low and hard into the corner, there's nothing the goalkeeper can do. It's a fantastic penalty from Gross.

Really good play from Leandro Trossard. He's tucked inside a bit from the left and Ezgjan Alioski is following him everywhere. It looks like he's been given that job to do by Marcelo Bielsa today.
Brighton are playing with a front three of Danny Welbeck, Neal Maupay and Trossard and they look a threat.

He teases two defenders before squeezing a shot away. It's got some power but it's straight at Illan Meslier.
Trossard has another go a few moments later but it's comfortable again for the Leeds keeper.

I've seen Leeds a few times this year and the two times Kalvin Phillips wasn't playing, Leeds lost. Not having him disrupts Leeds. He's such a great passer and does a really important job in front of the back four.
Brighton will be so pleased that he's not playing today.
